Summary: The staff was welcoming and friendly. The space was beautiful. And while the weather cannot be controlled, someone needed to let us know - we had turned our thermostat up to 72° because the room was about 60° when we got there. I'm not sure if that's what caused the problem or if there was another factor, but with the rain that night, and the humidity, water condensed on the ceiling of our room. Over the entire room, including the bed and the entryway. In the middle of the night, it started dripping on us! On our faces, on the bed, on our open luggage, and on the floor, which had standing water on it by morning. They comped our breaky as an apology. I don't know if keeping the temp down would have prevented this situation, but if so, tell the guest! If not, don't book room 106 if it's going to rain/be humid! Everything else was delightful.

Summary: One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. It was layered with interesting architectural features and simple yet charming amenities. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. If you have only one night in San Juan, you will not regret investing in the experience of this hotel.

Summary: The most wonderful hotel in the heart of old San Juan. Steeped in history, it has been modernised enough to give you what you need without removing it’s original charm. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and, staying off season, the price was a bargain.
