Summary: We loved the location of this hotel and the staff were very friendly, welcoming, and kind. The breakfast was delicious as well. Highly recommend if you are looking to stay in a charming old town.

Summary: This property is conveniently located inside the scenic pedestrian zone of Idstein, but is accessible by taxi. It is a typical small European hotel, which means the rooms are small but clean with modern amenities, a tiny elevator, and a reception that is only sporadically staffed. A nice breakfast is available by advance booking. Our biggest complaint was the strong smell of tobacco smoke that permeated the halls during the day, but luckily disappeared by check-in time and did not enter our room.

Summary: The hotel is located in the middle of the Idstein Old Town, so convenient for touring. Receptionist was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Our room was basic (no fridge or microwave, no shampoo or lotion) but certainly adequate, clean and bed very comfortable. Breakfast was served for a fee.
