Summary: The room was clean but I noticed a musty or smoky smell when I walked in. It’s in close proximity to visit nearby family but being right off the highway it’s a bit noisy. The bed was very comfortable. Having the restaurant and liquor store downstairs is convenient. This is our second time staying here and for 1 night it is good for us.

Summary: The check-in process was very frustrating as there was no cell service in the parking lot to complete the pre-check in process to gain access to the room. This required multiple phone calls to the hotel number for assistance. The highway close by is also extremely loud.

Summary: Difficulty signing in because the office was closed and I had to stand right outside the office door to get an Internet connection in order to register and receive my room number and access code. Once I was in, the room was very nice, kind of modern, clean and the bed was very comfortable! I did not like that the tv requires you to sign in to use your own Netflix account and password to watch… but it had Sling TV. Went out to eat at a local diner and upon returning put my “take out” and drinks in the shared lounge where they have an ice machine and refrigerator. No fridge or microwave in room. That was fine.. however, I did not realize that the shared refridgerator was not even turned on! All in all the “contactless” experience was new for me but it worked out fine and I would recommend and try it again!

Summary: It is all very nice and smooth. I have stayed here several times. However this last time I had to call the management because it was time to check in and I hadn't received the email to complete the check in, so I couldn't get in right away. But I was happy that a person and not a recording took my call and solved the problem immediately. Besides this, it is always very nice. Also the staff and the food at the restaurant attached to the hotel, Barcelona, is amazing. I feel at home there.

Summary: Everything that was once fun and cool about this retro little motel is basically gone. 10 years ago - the kitchy, retro remodel was fresh and in good shape. Now, the decor is tired, things are broken and they've completely shifted to no employees onsite. The great little continental breakfast is gone, theres no one manning the front desk and housekeeping is sparce. Given what you now get - the price should be much lower than it is. Its really too bad. This had potential to he a fun, retro throwback motel - and now its just an older, getting tired stop with all of its charm fading away. The only great thing (and they are LUCKY to have them!) Is the Barcelona Wine Bar downstairs. Wish the owners cared 😔

Summary: I do not like the way you have to Check-in. The app Would not.upload my pictures had. It took over an hour to get my pictures taken to register. TV had no signal had to remove to another room after I unpacked. Besides, the waiting to get registered very poor system. They should check the equipment before you enter the room.
