Positive: We visit Colonia every year at least once and stayed in a number of hotels both 4 and 5 star. We stayed here when it was initially refurbished and we enjoyed the convenience and fresh clean decor. However, it has significantly improved all-round over the years - we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend. The pool staff were friendly and welcoming.

Negative: Unfortunately, a few staff were extremely unfriendly and rude to my family-including myself! This was unfortunate as when we checked in the man on reception was welcoming and pleasant. On leaving, the lady on reception was extremely rude to my son, myself and my daughter when each of us requested the return of our stored luggage and when we requested towels to use to freshen up before leaving for the airport. Unfortunately, everything seemed to be too much trouble! Perhaps a few staff need to cheer up and appreciate how important customer service is to ensure reviews provide a reflection of all the staff at the hotel!
