Summary: No air conditioning but fine on all but the hottest days. Steep stairs, no elevator for floors 1&2. Otherwise our room was clean but sheets and towels in other family room were not. Stained despite washed. Courteous and helpful staff were not always available (eg. at 6:30 one weekday evening, or late night). Excellent location, comfortable sleep.

Summary: Excellent location and morning coffee in the room. The beds were clean and comfortable and we loved being able to open the windows to hear or shut out the street noise. Walking distance to so many types of food, museums and parks.

Summary: My experience wasn't great. The hotel is overall OK, but the room doesn't have any curtains to block the light, and considering how early the sun rises in Amsterdam at the moment, it's a major issue. The room was terribly hot at night and there was no remote for the air-conditioning in the room. It needs to be requested at the reception and pay a deposit for it. Also I travel to Amsterdam every month for work and I've never been asked to pay the tourists tax cash, or pay an extra fee to pay by card before. But here they do it. True that they communicated it before the arrival, but if I would have known it before, I wouldn't have booked this place. Imo, there are much better options in the area.
