Summary: Nice hotel, and good food. However my room if the second floor had a bad wifi connection. The reception allowed me to change room which was a good service as I already had taken shower etc. Morning breakfast I had a bad experience. One piece of melon had mold on the rind, and I also felt that the lady who was taking care of the breakfast service was somewhat grumpy and seemed rather dissatisfied. But still I will highly recommend this hotel even with my few notice.

Summary: No AC or fans in the rooms, and it was hotter inside than outside during our stay. A staff member kindly gave me a portable unit, but the owner said I was “lucky” to get it. This should be clear in the listing—35°C (95°F) with no fan is unacceptable.

Summary: The Hotel Klokkenhof is a family-oriented, quiet, and well-designed property located about 20 minutes from the Netherlands border. The staff and the hotel owner were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was authentically charming. The backyard is a lovely space where you can spend quality time with your children. The only drawback was the presence of a number of horseflies on the property. However, aside from that, I would highly recommend this hotel.
