Positive: I will start with the good things about the hotel. The hotel staff from reception is super friendly and helpful whenever you need them. All the other staff are also very friendly. The rooms are very clean and designed for maximum comfort. The location in Montreux is ideal — it's really in the center of the city, close to the beach area and the train station. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. There is also a very safe and nice underground car park very close by.

Negative: However, if you are planning to visit in the hot summer months when the temperature is above 30 degrees, I would recommend finding another hotel with air conditioning because it's simply impossible to stay there. The room has a ventilator, but it doesn't help at all. We stayed there for two nights and couldn't sleep at all. During the day, you can't stay in the room because it's so hot. We left the hotel completely exhausted after two nights. A small fridge could be also ver helpful to have a cold water. It was also not there. In the hotel description, it was mentioned that there is no air conditioning and fridge in the rooms, which was correct. However, we didn't think it would be so difficult to stay for two nights, so we took a risk. Later, we realized it was a mistake. Any other season would be ideal, but not during the hot summer. Our advice to the hotel owner is to install air conditioning in each room. Even a small unit would suffice. We will never come back to this hotel in the same season. We think that any other guests who visit the hotel in the same season will never come back. It's very unfortunate. We normally never write reviews like this, We are really sorry to write this, but it is meant to help hotel itself and future guests in this season.

Positive: The view from our newly refurbished Lakeview Room was amazing! The room was a good size. The location is within walking distance of various restaurants and about 10mins from the station. There is a lift that takes you between street levels making wheeling suitcases relatively easy.
