Positive: Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Well connected by bus to the city centre. Rooms were bright and comfortable. Pool, although small, was a nice bonus for a hotel in this price bracket. Restaurant was praised by others in my group. Plenty of off-road parking for free.
Negative: breakfast room felt a little cramped, especially in the self service area. However, we were a big group so it probably doesn't normally get that crowded.

Positive: The breakfast buffet was more than adequate. The breads, cured meats were delicious and the jams were delicious. There was a large selection of herbal teas for those who like those. The room was clean and comfortable and had a good night's sleep. We had only one short flight of stairs to access it and our young daughter had the adjacent room. We did not have time to access the spa or pool because we were busy on this trip but I'm sure this was a bonus for those who booked here.
Negative: It was very hot during our stay and had to leave the windows open. I'm not sure if it was the plumbing or pipes but there was a stale smell at the end of the corridor one of the days we stayed which permeated into the room that evening. The hotel was generally quiet but noise from other visitors from the car park was sometimes intrusive but not excessively so. The towels were really worn/hard or rough and we really had to reduce the water pressure of the power shower as the water did not drain well in our shower.
Summary: Overall, a comfortable stay, decent breakfast and pleasant and helpful staff.

Positive: The location was very convenient with access to major bus routes to get into the city centre. There was also a decent amount of parking for when we had a car. The value for the money with breakfast included and cleanliness can't really be beat. The staff was overall friendly and attentive when we had an issue.
Negative: The beds were so uncomfortable that we had very bad sleep. The beds were tiny and the mattresses not very nice, but the worst were the pillows. They absolutely need to get new pillows. My neck was aching every morning. On top of the small rooms and clogged shower drain (that ended up flooding our bathroom), it wasn't the nicest.
Summary: Super convenient and good value for money but not very comfortable.
