Summary: Short Version: Yes, it was nice enough that I would stay there again. Long version: It's right in the middle of the alt section, so great location. The staff was very helpful, and accommodating. This is an old Swiss hotel, so it's dated, but has lots of charm, especially the common areas and the breakfast room.

Summary: This is an old hotel with lots of character in the centre of the village. Due to its location, it's super noisy in the summer if you have your windows open. You need to have the windows open because the summers are very hot here. There are rooms with a courtyard view, ask for one of those if the noise bothers you. Unfortunately, when we asked to switch rooms and the night clerk couldn't have been more rude. The clerk we dealt with earlier said that there were lots of rooms available. However, the night clerk didn't want to tend to our needs at all and it was only 7pm. The next morning at breakfast, we were met with the same horrible rude staff in the dining room. However, the staff bent over backwards to any locals that arrived at the restaurant. Overall, this is a basic, clean hotel in a convenient area of the village. The staff need to work on their people skills.

Summary: Great location, right in the city center of Solothurn. Bed could have been more comfortable but hotel has a nice vintage feel and the staff were so friendly and lovely. Would stay again!
