Positive: Great location with good parking space, rooms basic but has all for the night

Negative: Check in times was after 16:00 and it took me almost 45 minutes to checking as it was only one member staff at the reception. Understanable there were carnivals in town but they should be ready to checking with more people at the reception and not make people wait suck long time in the queue

Positive: Tha stay at Hotel Santa Maria was pretty impecable, at a lack of better words. Everything was arranged for a quiet stay, although the Carnaval was occurring right in front at the Hotel. The room was extremely clean, very comfortable and with amazing natural light. Breakfast was served fresh everyday, starting at 7.30 am. Looking forward to going back!

Positive: Breakfast was served for a good length of time and supplies were regularly topped up. The location was excellent and we had a balcony room which provided fanatastic views of the town. There were great cafes, restaurants, shops and entertainment on our doorstep. Many lovely beaches are just a short drive. The car park is spacious and convenient too. The rooms were cleaned and tidied to a high standard on a daily basis.

Negative: Limited selection. Would be nice to have more variety of yogurts, fruit and fresh ingredients. My husband found the cutlery very small. It would be great to have facilities for hot drinks and a safe in the rooms. Also some balcony furniture would be good.

Summary: We had a relaxing and fun time at this hotel. We would be happy to return for another visit.

Positive: Staffresponded quickly when we complained about the heating, as we could not figure out the remote. We were very cold the first night. Breakfast was pretty much what seems to be the standard.

Negative: The remote was very difficult for us to figure out. If you are familiar with this type of heating, you may have known how to adjust it. And it was raining and cold. We’ve figured out the remotes other places, but this one seemed very old. We learned our lesson, and will ask how to use them in future.
