Positive: Great little hotel in an excellent spot across from a very nice grocery store and walkable into town. It is uphill into town but not bad at all. View of lake from some rooms. Very personable staff who went out of there way to make our stay comfortable? Love the town! Breakfast just ok but the cleanliness was excellent as were showers, etc.
Summary: Lovely no frills hotel with exceptional cleanliness and comfortable beds and rooms.

Positive: Pool was great, simple but good breakfast. Close enough to the lake and the old town to walk. Staff helpful and the rooms were cleaned everyday. Air conditioning was good and we had a really nice recently renovated bathroom
Negative: The only issue we had was storage space, we’d booked a quadruple room for 6 nights so we had quite a bit of luggage and there was only one average sized wardrobe. That’s more my fault though as I think the hotel is set up for 2 to 3 nights stay, but like a premier inn or travelodge in the uk. I’d stay there again if I was in that part of the country.

Positive: The hotel is in a good position for visiting Castiglione and the surrounding area. The atmosphere was very relaxed. There is a nice pool area to relax in the sunshine.
Negative: The shower! Whoever designed the bathroom put it facing the wrong way!

Positive: Despite the bedrooms looking a little stark, the bed was very comfortable and the pillows were just right - not those squishy types like some sort of marshmallow into which your head sinks! We had a balcony which was useful and the bathroom was modern. The Italian style breakfast was adequate.
Negative: The only downside was the lady helping at breakfast time could have been friendlier! Instead of speaking to us in Italian she just indicated that we'd taken the wrong table in sign language in a rather terse manner. We may be foreign, but we do actually speak Italian - I'm sure many do who visit Italy regularly. Also there was no milk for our cereal, so we could not serve ourselves with it. We had to ask for it and then it was poured by this lady too vigorously and our cornflakes had to take swimming lessons!
