Summary: I went to this hotel for a weekend in Newport with a friend and we had a wonderful experience. We loved having breakfast in the market. One day we took the hotel bicycles and rode to see the mansions. We were able to walk to the International tennis Hall of Fame and to the Wharf area for dinner. We could also walk to the Newport Art Museum, and the downtown area for some nice shopping. The hotel is convenient to everything. Our room was very large and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Summary: Great hotel in a convenient location to restaurants and shopping. Just a short 10 min walk down the hill. The hotel must’ve been elegant in its day but seems a little tired. It still has very nice charm and sitting areas outside with gas fireplaces. We didn’t explore the hotel much but the pool and spa sounded nice here. The rooftop bar is fantastic. One heads up - the bathrooms are teeny tiny.

Summary: Thermostat was broken in the room so instead of cool air, heat was pumping. There was a leak in the bathroom ceiling as well. Alerted the front desk and they supposedly sent someone up to fix it while we were out, but didn't see any proof that happened when we returned. Got charged $50 in unknown incidentals.

Summary: The bed was terrible, like we just sank, no support at all. The room was dated. Stay were extremely nice. The hotel needs to be updated.

Summary: Hotel Viking is an older historic hotel so that is totally understood, but it really needs to be refurbished. The lobby and restaurant are bright and cheery, but the hallways and rooms are dark. The decor is just older and a bit dreary. Valet parking attendants are awesome young men. Front desk personnel not so personable. Location of the hotel is good. Beds are very comfy and cleanliness of the room was acceptable. Our stay was fine but I would prefer a more modern hotel next time.

Summary: Absolutely amazing place ! Super close to everywhere , beautiful building , nice pool and hot tub . We extended our stay as we loved it there so much ! We will be back

Summary: the room wasn't clean and bed sheets had stains. the toilet paper hanger was hanging on one side from the wall. the shower was dripping everytime someone on the upper floor was using the bathroom. the staff at the front desk had an attitude while checking us in.
