Summary: Spent three quiet nights at the villa after visiting the area each day. I find this a great hub to visit the Milan/Cremona/Bergamo/Parma area, all within an hour or two's drive. Two things I must caution though: 1. The villa is surrounded by lots of fields and driving in/out and while staying on the villa it can smell pretty bad. 2. There is no direct highway to Cignone/the villa; one has to drive into/out of many roundabouts and that can get a bit annoying. Otherwise, the breakfast was good (though one morning we had the misfortune of sharing breakfast buffet with a bunch of messy, obnoxious French Hells Angels and that spoiled the experience) and the property is lovely.
