Summary: We had a wonderful vacation in a beautiful house filled with art. Communication with the host went perfectly smoothly.Unfortunately, we had some trouble with the pool alarm, and the house felt quite cold on cooler days. Other than that, everything was great, and we would definitely come back. The location is ideal for exploring the area, and the nearest beach is absolutely stunning. The house might not be the best fit for small children due to the open-plan layout and the pool—we had to keep a close eye on them. However, this didn’t bother us, and there were no incidents. Still, there may be more child-friendly options available for families with toddlers. All in all, we highly recommend this place.Thank you, Any!

Summary: Large, well-kept home with lots of art on the walls. The yard is lovely. The host speaks only French. There is poor internet in this area and everything is closed on Sunday and Monday. The pool was too cold to swim in.

Summary: Spent two weeks in this fantastic house with great outdoor facilities in a lovely garden. Multiple terraces and the nice barbecue grill was frequently used and the pétanque court, table tennis and lawn invited for activities and competitions.

Summary: The property was a good size for 4 adults and 2 children and was spotlessly clean hence why I gave the 5 star rating for cleanliness. The pool on the other hand could do with some attention. Lots of debris in it when we arrived and this continued to build up over the week. We tried our best to use the net to remove the debris but it was not overly successful. Plus the side of the pool had a green line of staining along it which was a little off putting. The pool was not cleaned at any point we were there. Also, the pool alarm (which is a good idea if you have small children) was very sensitive and would activate in the early hours of the morning. Not ideal. Maybe a more up to date model would work better. Another minor point was that the stairs and floor boards upstairs are very very squeaky! Whole house awake if someone went to the bathroom during the night. 3 stars for the check in process as it would have useful to have the information provided in writing. Having said that anytime we contacted the host she was prompt in responding to us and was very pleasant and easy to respond to. 4 stars for location and area as the amenties in Cers is limited to two restaurants that are not always open. However, the Canal is a short walk and the main roads to Narbonne, Beziers etc are easily accessible. Car parking is not brilliant as there is no designated carparking at the property.

Summary: We had a lovely relaxing week in Any’s beautiful house. The pool & games area was well used as was the bbq area. The house was very spacious, it contained everything that we needed. We had great fun on the bikes, cycling along the Canal du Midi, visiting locks and restaurants. In the village there’s a fab Bistro and a pizzeria, would recommend them both along with the local rose wine.. Highly recommend this property.

Summary: The home is situated in the quiet village of Cer which is a short drive to a range of excellent beaches, fishing towns and the large and lively Cap D'adge. Car is a must but bikes are provided and an excellent cycle path along the Canal du Midi can get you to a number of beaches and seaside towns. The accomodation is quirky with its own artistic charm. Pictures adorn the walls and the open plan living downstairs is flexible and suitable for all ages. The real highlight of this property is the garden and the lovely pool. The area is very quiet so you can enjoy the garden and pool without distraction. There are limited downsides - we travelled with our three teeenage daughters and the WiFi was poor so make sure you have plenty of data. Parking could be a bit hit or miss outside the property as it is not a reserved space. A great base for a visit to the area with a fabulous pool area to enjoy when you are not out and about in the wide range of things to see and places to visit in the local area. The wider area is busy in high season as it is a popular holiday spot for french people enjoying their annual vacation. The house and village are a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area and resorts.

Summary: We all had a wonderful stay in this magnificent house. The decorations inside with all the paintings and beautiful furniture are worth the stay by it self. Everything was as advertised and just so much more. The house has everything you need for a holiday stay with family or friends, well equipped inside and outside. Good sized bedrooms, good beds, fans in all the bedrooms. Well equipped kitchen and nice living areas. Beautiful garden with several places to relax either by the pool or several lounge areas. There was a barbeque that we used several times. It was easy to park in the street outside the house. The small village of Cers was cozy with a Boulangerie almost next door where you could by fresh croissants and bread every morning, two nice restaurants, one pizzeria and one local French restaurant. Both really worth trying out, they both had very good food, but at least in the summer it would be wise to book a table. We recommend the beach - Valras Plage. A huge beach and lots of nice restaurants and easy to park. We had nice trips to Carcassone, Beziers and Montpellier, all places can be recommended. Any was the perfect host always ready to answer any questions we would have. We highly recommend this holiday house.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay at Any Lapalu’s house. First of all, the house was absolutely charming: beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. We enjoyed the tranquil garden, the spacious living room, the art on the walls, the unique furniture, and the general sense of being in a home away from home. Any, a responsible and responsive host, made sure that all our needs were met. She checked in on us and provided the names of all the best restaurants in the area. Our arrival and departure were problem free. The village of Cers also offered delights. My husband went every morning to the local friendly boulangerie, practically next door, to buy our morning bread and other delicious treats. The local bistro, Cers Bistro, deserves a visit. There we were welcomed by friendly bistro hosts and enjoyed a delicious meal. Our local supermarché offered everything you might need for your stay in France: local food, local wine, cheese, fresh fruit and good bread. It was easy to get around by car. We visited various places of interest nearby and further afield. Great tips from the tourist offices in Béziers and Narbonne! Having never visited this part of France, we were delighted by many surprises. It seemed like every day was better than the one before. Carcassonne, Peyrepertuse castle, Lagrasse, Peyriac de Mer, and other sights. People were also unfailingly friendly and welcoming.
