This renovated residence in the heart of Sint-Jansrade has a beautiful location and access to an outdoor swimming pool. It is an excellent choice for families.
The gite is located in the charming village of Sint-Jansrade, with typical stone houses and a beautiful view over the green hills. The area is perfect for walks (Balades au Pays d'Aubel), mountain bike and horse riding. Visit cities such as Liège and Maastricht or go fishing at Pêcherie du Berg. The Siroperie Artisanale d'Aubel Nyssen tour is also very worthwhile. In the last 2 weeks of August, the annual village festival normally takes place next to the holiday home.
Unwind in the sauna or take a cooling dip in the outdoor pool located in the garden of the neighbors and owners. The pool is available for private use in the morning and afternoon. There are 4 bicycles at the disposal of the guests and on request you can take yoga lessons or opt for half board.
IMPORTANT : Swimming pool is open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m from June to September

Summary: We had a very pleasant stay here! The pool was great (though you can only use it between 10am-12pm and 2-4pm every day) and we got lucky with very sunny weather most of the week. The nature surrounding the house is beautiful, the supermarket a 5 min drive away and the host Laurent very helpful, answering our questions straight away whenever I texted him. Though the site said kitchen linen would be provided, be mindful of the fact that it’s 1 kitchen towel and you might want to take more with you (towels for the toilets and bathrooms too). The non-stick coating of some of the pans in the kitchen was coming off, so some of them should probably be replaced. But overall, there were enough utensils, cutlery, plates, etc. for our group of eight. We were there during the last two weekends of August, which is when the town festival happens (which we were properly warned about thanks to the hosts). If you’re debating whether or not to go during that time: there’ll be loud party music next door, with a bass that made our car alarm go off and the lights in the bedroom flicker, on Fridays and Saturdays until about 2 or 3am. As we didn’t go to bed much earlier than that most evenings, it was alright, but the last Friday before check-out it did bother us, and we didn’t get much sleep. The showers were great, the house was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The only real downside was the noisiness of the house. Half of the beds are in ‘open’ bedrooms, meaning there are no walls or doors between them and the living room downstairs. The other half are in a room above the kitchen, but despite that room having a door, you could hear everything that was said downstairs. So, if you’re traveling in a group that isn’t on the same sleep schedule, this might not be the right place for you. The house is, like others have already stated, a little dark. But it’s beautiful and the garden is absolutely lovely, as is the sauna. I think back on our week there fondly. Thank you!

Summary: Prima rustig gelegen vakantiehuis met heerlijke sauna, open haard en mooie vernieuwde badkamers. Veel mogelijkheden om wandelingen in de directe omgeving te maken. Stadje Aubel ligt op 4km en heeft voldoende winkels voor dagelijkse boodschappen. Luik, Maastricht en Aken liggen op een half uur rijden voor een dagje weg.

Summary: Geweldige locatie!! Wat was het mooi in de omgeving! Prachtig huis! Lekkere sauna! Overheerlijke appelsap uit eigen boomgaard! Fijn haardje in de woonkamer voor een gezellig knus vuurtje! Houd er wel rekening mee dat het 3 2-persoons bedden zijn en 2 enkele bedden dus als 3 stellen om minder dan 8 personen het huisje boeken is het beter en hoef je niet gezellig bij iemand in bed te slapen haha :P Verder hebben we echt genoten!

Summary: Het is een gezellig huis in een mooie omgeving. Heerlijk zwembad. Goed contact gehad met Laurent. Ik had via de app een vraag gesteld en toen belde hij om me te woord te staan en nog wat dingen uit te leggen. Hij gaf aan dat hij van tevoren altijd even met de gasten belt, dat is zeer attent en geeft je een warm welkom. Dit is mijn eerste keer dat ik via Belvilla een huis huur. Zeer tevreden hierover. Heb wel geleerd om beter de beschrijving te lezen. De laatste avond dreunden we ons bed uit ivm een feest dat naast ons gaande was en tot twee uur duurde. Achteraf stond het wel in de beschrijving dat in de laatste twee weken van augustus er een dorpsfeest is. Er was gelukkig niet elke avond tot laat muziek, maar is wel iets om rekening mee te houden. We hebben ieder geval een fijne vakantie gehad en het huis en de omgeving is zeker een aanrader.

Summary: We hebben een heel fijne tijd gehad in deze woning. Het is er heel knus en gezellig, het was schoon en aan het zwembad is goed toeven. De eigenaar is vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de omgeving is mooi. We hebben een prima vakantie gehad!

Summary: Heerlijk huis, netjes gerenoveerd en van alle gemakken voorzien. Sauna super, gebruik van zwembad ook erg fijn! Rustige omgeving met van alles te doen. Enige minpunt zijn de ‘open’ kamers..weinig privacy daardoor en erg gehorig door open ruimtes. Wel genoeg ruimte. We genieten volop!

Summary: Charmant, karakteristiek huis in een landelijke omgeving. De sauna is top en handdoeken ed zijn aanwezig. De kinderen hebben genoten van het zwembad. De eigenaren hebben echt hun best gedaan met een uitgebreide informatiemap (met info over de omgeving) en ook nog een telefoontje vooraf.
