Summary: I’d recommend this property to any family seeking quiet and comfort away from it all. The house is darling. However, I’d recommend only French speakers rent from this host. She has requirements for cleaning that weren’t clear, like scrubbing the toilets and after checkout called us to berate us in French. We have stellar reviews from many many stays at such properties and left her home in great shape with dishes washing in the machine, towels gathered. All was perfect aside from crumbs on a table and the corner of a poly fill comforter which got damp from rain in the night that came through a skylight window. The host had asked us if she could come at 10 for checkout so she could have the place cleaned for next guests, so we accommodated and made plans for a castle tour and but the host couldn’t come at 10, and we texted her we needed to go, and locked up and left the key in the spot she had shown us. Her call and demands for extra cleaning fee by paypal were inappropriate. I’m sure had I spoken French things would have gone better and I would have understood her expectations for scrubbing the toilet, washing the floor? Last note - the host requires a separate fee for linens and collects this in cash, perhaps to avoid fees levied by the management service or homeaway.

Summary: We had a lovely stay ! The property was perfect, peaceful, very well equiped and good location. We visited Dijon for the day which was about a hours drive. The Village has 2 supermarket - one large which is about 5 minutes in the car. The Secure garden was Ideal for our Dog and would be for anyone traveling with small children. Lovely owner who was very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again.
