Summary: Had a great holiday. Everything we needed was there. Lovely property and gardens. Great pool which was well used. Would recommend for a quiet relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings.

Summary: We loved the mix between the old farmhouse and the stylish new building. The gite had everything we needed ... and more, and accurately reflected the listing. During the days we spent at the gite the children rarely left the poolside and it was delight to see three deer in the paddocks behind the gite every morning. The Vendeee has lots of local towns and villages to explore, with the main attractions being Puy du Fou and Fountenay le Comte. At only 1.15hrs from the Atlantic Coast we were able to spend a delightful day at the Beach.

Summary: At the end of an unmade road, with 2 neighbouring cottages, neither of which spoil the privacy. You have your own private estate of many acres with a stream/small river flowing through in a heavily forested area. As paying grandparents we took the modern en suite side upstairs and left son & grandchildren in the original side of the cottage. The house is clearly used by the owner family as it is very well equipped by letting standards. To the right of the hall is a massive comfortable sitting room. It has a large flat screen TV - just be aware that as in many properties in France there are only 3 'English' speaking channels - BBC World is only watchable one. There is as described a DVD player but unfortunately no cables to connect to anything. Bit of a pain because on the very hot days (all of them) it's good to get young children indoors for an hour to chill. Brill kitchen diner with a large modern range. Downstairs toilet / utility - we really wanted for nothing. The swimming pool is smallish but very well laid out & properly fenced in. Amused ourselves for ages with the self operated pool vacuum! Plenty of sun & shade seating options. Bonuses were the pin ball machine, once we had mastered it's idiosynchrosies, and the fig tree once we had won the battle with the wasps. Boulangerie only a few minutes drive away & supermarkets 15 minutes max. You'll have a wonderful peaceful holiday at Le Moulin. It is deep in the country but we did seem to have an exceptional number of flies to deal with. Seemed to win the battle after 2 days & left a fly swat & other aids to help anyone following. Did not ultimately detract from a lovely holiday!
