Summary: Casa Emilia is a very nice old house with a wonderful garden and very nice terraces. It is allways possible to find a good spot in the garden and by the pool. Beautiful mountain view. Cozy little village. Good introduction by Roberto.

Summary: The property is a perfect location and provides ample space for relaxing in the sun, there are so many choices around the garden for where to sit and lounge. Emilia and Roberto were perfect hosts and ensured everything was perfect (reacting VERY quickly when we contacted them during the stay), even warning us about upcoming inclement weather. We highly recommend this property for it's views and its overall quality.

Summary: What an absolutely stunning location with amazing views. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, the outdoor barbeque and the pizza oven. This was a great location to visit Cinque Terre, Colonnata and Levigliani. It was so relaxing to be able to return to here at the end of each day. If we return to this stea we will certainly rent again

Summary: We stayed for 10 days over the Easter period. Roberto and Emilia were there to meet us on arrival, and ensured we 'knew the ropes' before they left. The village of Stazzema is perched on the side of the mountain about 450 metres above sea-level. Casa Emilia sits above the village with spectacular views in 3 directions and small lush green allotments (in spring) going upwards that emanate the scents of basil, mozzarella and wild flowers in all directions. The house can be reached via the winding charming labyrinthine alleys of the houses , to the front door, or from down through the garden from where you park your vehicle to the back door. The garden is expansive, cascading down a number of tiered borders, with numerous trees and shrubbery, and quite enchanting. There are two areas for alfresco-dining, one about 25 metres from the back door and the other immediately outside it. The interior is well-equipped and delighfully set out in the traditional Tuscan mountain style, with shutters to ensure the sun doesn't wake you too early in the morning! It is ideally placed to make excursions to urban-hubs such as Pisa and Lucca (1 hour) and Florence (1 hour 45 minutes), as well as a range of beaches between Viareggio and Forte di Marmi (30-40 minutes). However, there is plenty to without having to get in a car as well. We did two wonderful walks, one to Cardoza and the other up to a bunk-house called Rifugio Forte di Marmi that was open over Easter and served up some wonderful food. Our two children aged 6 & 7 managed both walks with ease. My partner always wants to go to visit new and different places for holidays, so I was quite amazed when she said that she would like to come back here again! Says it all really.

Summary: Stazzema is high up.in the hills, up a windy road. Make sure you get proper directions from Emilia and Roberto - do NOT follow your sat nav and go into the village or you may find yourself reversing out a very narrow street ! Take a right at the recycling bins a half mile before the village and then second left (I think). The house is an old stone house with thick walls which stays nice and cool. Full of character and furnished with an interesting mix of vintage and modern. Lovely garden full of lavender, bees and butterflies with great views out to the mountains. The small pool is not big enough to swim in but essential for cooling off in. We had some problems with WiFi due to storm before we arrived but fixed by time we left. There is nothing in the village except a restaurant with a great terrace - very nice antipasti and pasta and very friendly staff. Not at all obvious from the village where it is - down steps from the 'Belvedere'car park. Nearest shop CONAD supermarket is in Seravezza, a 25 min drive from house. Make sure to stock.up.on your way ! We enjoyed our holiday very much - thank you to Emilia and Roberto for everything

Summary: We had a wondeful stay at casa emilia! We have been in this house for one week and Emilia and Roberto received us at our arriving. We got some usefull informations for the area around Stazzema and good instructions for the house. In and around the house there was everything we needed. A nice and good equipped kitchen, a peaceful place to eat outside (you have a barbecue and a pizza oven) and a very nice pool to relax. The house tipical rustic and is a very quiet place to relax. But you are not completly alone (neighbors are around; but you nearly don't see anybody). By car you have to drive about 20 minutes uphill to the house and you have private place to park your car. To the next medium supermarket it's about 15-20 minutes and to the closest beach in Forte dei Marmi (very expensiv!) it's about 30-35 minutes by car. We enjoyed our stay a lot and recommend casa emilia! Roberto and Emilia were very nice hosts and we say thank you again.

Summary: We were 3 adults and 2 children - and a dog - and we all enjoyed it. A very large, well layed out garden with ideal eating and relaxing areas. The pool is - as the picture shows - small but very welcome and the children enjoyed it. The house is roomy with just about everything you need and we all slept well. ( Internet was slow but worked for emails etc.) The roads to it is sometimes a bit narrow, steep and winding - but nothing to worry about. Lovely country. Owners very friendly. I wouuld certainly reccommend it

Summary: "Excellent place to relax. Hidden in the mountains ( road is sometimes narrow and steep ) with beautiful garden, open dining area, offering awesome views. Village nearby has 1 small bar and 2 staple shops. Compliments to hosts ! Very nice people. Overall great experience !"
