Summary: Hanover camp is a hidden gem and we are so lucky to have found it! From the cottage, to the crystal clear private lake, to the beautiful mountains around it, and the 3 loons that visited daily, we couldn't have been happier with our family vacation. My boys (9, 6 & 1) loved every second of our vacation. My 9yo used the stand up paddle boards and kayak every day to explore the pond and fish. My 6yo loved jumping off the dock and catching bull frogs and minnows. The house did have its challenges for a 1yo, but we were made well aware of them before we booked. The pond did not have a Sandy beach area for him to sit and play at: the edges were all rocky. He didn't mind at all though, he sat on the dock with us and splashed non stop, and was in the water every chance he got. The deck did not have railings all the way around so we had to watch him constantly while outside. We brought his small blow up pool and put it on the deck with his toys and he couldn't have been happier! The deck was shaded in the afternoon and a perfect spot for him to play outside with someone. We also explored the area around Hanover and hiked up Grafton Notch, jumped off the waterfall at Frenchmans hole, hiked around Sunday & Bear river, explored the town of Bethel and even took the 1hr 15min drive to storyland. The cottage itself had everything that we could have needed and EVERYTHING was labeled, which made it so easy to find/put things away. It really felt like home for the week.My boys already are claiming their rooms for next summer and what adventures we will go on.

Summary: We look forward to coming back to this lovely cabin! The pond is big enough that it feels like small lake and is so clear with a rocky bottom. The water was warm but refreshing and we found ourselves swimming several times a day. We’ve never showered less and felt so clean! The cabin was just right for 6 adults and well appointed from the kitchen to supplies to the various watercraft. And the games in the benchseat and coffee table cribbage board! Such a great camp- rustic enough to remind you that it is a camp, but so many modern conveniences and gorgeous decks. Not many mosquitos or black flies or other insects (other than some spectacular Luna moths). Everything was labeled with clear instructions and Florence is the kindest host. Great communication and she promptly returned the deposit. We met several neighbors and everyone was incredibly friendly even though we were just renters. There are so many beautiful hikes in the area and Bethel is not too far down the road. And if you go to Grafton Notch, don’t forget to stop at the pie stand on the way back! Anyone who gets to experience this hidden gem is lucky. Thank you, Camp Nolan!

Summary: Nicely appointed cottage directly on pond, we loved the quite nights with the sounds of frogs and loons in the distance. During the day we took full advantage of the canoe and the kayaks exploring the pond. Florence has everything you'd need at the ready and easily accessible. I would highly recommend this for a quite getaway.

Summary: We rented this cottage with another couple (4 adults, 2 children, 2 dogs) for a weekend. It is a great little cottage, very compact, and in a great location. The master bedroom is surprisingly large and could easily fit a larger family - we didn't even use the third bedroom. Howard Pond is a peaceful, beautiful, little pond and the location of this cottage is excellent.

Summary: My wife and I escaped to Maine with our cousins for a couple nights to celebrate a birthday. The weather ended up being gray and rainy, but we still had a great time. The house is well appointed with a nice grill, plenty of kayaks and SUPs, a fire pit, and everything in the kitchen you could ever need. Florence was great to work with as well. There is a very nice deck to lounge on, and a ramp right down to the water. We were able to watch the loons when it was raining from the large picture window in the living area. Very quiet retreat. Definitely recommend!

Summary: My family and I enjoyed our stay very much! Florence is a delight to work with. She thought of so many details that enhanced our stay. Howard Pond is absolutely beautiful! The camp has three nice bedrooms, all with views of the water. The master suite is light and pleasant with lots of room. The kitchen is big and has everything we needed during our stay to have guests over for dinner. We also made good use of the paddle boards and kayaks. And, the sunsets were breathtaking!
