Positive: Howard's Lakehouse by the Sea is absolutely spectacular! Right when we walked in the door we loved it! The thoughtful decor in every room made us feel happy and homey. It is so beautiful and cozy and the view of the lake with the mountains in the background is majestic. The back patio has comfy chairs with ottomans and a grill with an extra propane tank in case you run out. The kitchen has everything you could possibly want. It was wonderful having the kayaks to take out whenever we wanted. Very peaceful. We enjoyed the privacy and clean grounds too. Normally we stay oceanfront but here we had the best of both worlds. Cross the street to hit the beach and come back to the peace and serenity of the lake and trees. We will definitely be back and when I showed pictures of our trip to family they want to stay there too.
Negative: A lamp next to the sofa by the sliding door and a lamp on the table in the master bedroom would be great! 10 am checkout is pretty early but thankfully got offered a late checkout at an additional cost. Lucked out no one was coming in that day. Phew!

Negative: It would have been nice to have had non stick pans.
Summary: We enjoyed it, and would like to come back in the summer, maybe with a hot tub.

Positive: Clean and super nice place to stay. Will stay again in the near future!
Negative: The cleaner come right at the time during check out seems like giving pressure to us to leave the place ASAP. We will feel more relief if the cleaner is not there. Other than that, nice place to stay!
