Positive: The owners have a wonderful cabin with views and sunrises to enjoy- lovely!! The best!!
Negative: Know that bedrooms are downstairs and bathrooms are upstairs. The only real problem was with Vacasa - they needs to be VERY clear to its staff what’s expected of them - I stay in McCall quite a bit and vacasa makes the stays frustrating from the beginning- last time they didn’t even clean the place! Bed was as if someone was still staying there. I bolted out n it took them almost 4 hours to do the work - this time the steps to home were sloped mounds of ice! I had to go down on my butt with 6 bags n suitcase- no handrail but it’s probably covered w snow and ice that vacasa doesn’t want to deal with. When I called customer service said it was MY problem!! Called again n got an understanding one after I mentioned the real possibility of someone breaking a leg. No exaggeration!! These are first impressions when you happily go to your vacation rental and they are really unwelcoming.
Summary: Owners have lovely place but poor management with vacasa

Positive: I"m wondering why you asked how breakfast was. There was no breakfast?????There was not even any coffee to put in the coffee maker. The view is wonderful.
Negative: There is no WIFI and no cell service that can be relied on for any form of communication. I'm wondering what a guest would do in case of emergency??? How would you get help when there isn't even a landline? No dishwasher? No wine glasses?

Positive: Great view, comfortable, and multiple quality of life items. They leave you with quality of life items such as Detergent and softener for laundry, cleaning supplies, multiple kitchen appliances (blender, waffle iron, ice cream maker) and a fully stocked kitchen filled with utensils and items for a vast array of meals. There were multiple board games and decks of cards to play with and enjoy. They provide some classical music to go with the cd player that has bluetooth and a radio features. They have a minor variety of books you can enjoy. There were sets of instructions and manuals here and there for you to get accustomed to the homes features. You also have great access to the lake so you can kayak, boat, jet ski, or whatever you like from the dock. And the location is great if you don't want to carry food with you and don't want to eat take out all the time since Albertsons is only a 15min drive away.
Negative: Didn't clean the entrance, or back patio where the grill is. Didn't clean beneath the couch or the gaps between the cushions. Flooring isn't fully installed in the downstairs bedrooms, and are missing the little wooden baseboard that holds down the carpet, that or the carpet is very loose. Also the baseboard In the upstairs areas is half completed. We did have a slight spider issue especially since they hid beneath the carpeting and gaps in the wall where the wooden baseboard is supposed to go, but wasn't a huge problem. And though the main goal is to enjoy the lake and the great outdoors, the few times we wanted to enjoy watching a little bit of cable before going to bed was lackluster due to the small TV.
Summary: Spectacular view and comfy, just needs a few touch ups.
