Nice Cape Cod-style home located in the foothills of The Berkshires and just 11 miles northwest of Lenox and Tanglewood. The house is situated on a sunny knoll surrounded by 2.8 acres of mature woodlands that offers great privacy. The house features a modern kitchen w/ granite-counter tops, living room, dining room, two bedrooms, full bath, a screened-in, furnished 3-season porch, with TV and a day bed that converts to a twin bed on the 1st floor. The second floor offers one bedroom and a full bath with its own family room/den which includes a trundle bed that sleeps two. There is also an additional kitchen on the second floor. House is easily suitable for two-families or couples vacationing together but also offers privacy for both. The house is ideal for a romantic getaway or family gatherings and exploring the cultural riches of the Berkshires in spring, summer & fall.
Come winter, the house is great for couples or families getting together to ski at Jiminy Peak (25 min. North) or Butternut Ski Basin (30 min. South. The home is 3 minutes away from Queechy Lake, which boasts spring- fed fishing, a private beach for swimming, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Tanglewood is just 11 miles away, along with The Berkshires' many cultural and destination attractions including the Norman Rockwell Museum, Jacobs Pillow, Saratoga Springs, Lenox, 3 ski resorts, flea markets and farm stands (in season). You can go shopping and antiquing during the day in nearby Hudson, NY or at the Outlets and then have a quiet dinner in the evening at any of the numerous fine restaurants in Lenox, Stockbridge or Great Barrington.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Andre's home. Beautiful property, and a very comfortable house that had everything we needed. Some of the decor was truly unique and fascinating! With Canaan having been my mom's home town, the location was perfect, and meant a lot. Thank you, Andre for our short, but great stay!

Summary: What a wonderful house. It was comfortable and beautifully decorated. There was nothing the house lacked. The outdoor fire pit was cozy, the pergola was spacious and the landscaping was lovely. The location was convenient to so many things we were in the area to do.....bike, hike, golf and sightsee in the Berkshires!

Summary: This home is lovely! Very well appointed! Roomy, and comfortable, tucked into nature with birds and beautiful landscaping. The upstairs was very cozy. The only thing I could say that might be a bit negative as it would not be very handicap accessible. We were expecting an elderly friend who did not make it, but it would’ve been difficult for her anyway. A second hi 5 for the comfort, and again, gorgeous! We ARE coming back!

Summary: Wonderful, unique home in a beautiful setting. So many interesting things to look at and enjoy! We were able to make use of the fireplace and we also enjoyed watching an Easter Sunday service on the TV in the enclosed porch area while it was snowing outside! We really appreciated the separate living space upstairs, as well. Great stay - would stay there again!

Summary: Property was well maintained, clean and had everything we needed for a couples winter getaway. Planned to ski two days however a storm altered our plans but found a nearby orchard that offered snowshoeing and hard cider/wine tasting in front of a cozy fireplace to boot! Easy drive to Jiminy Peak for a day of skiing and then back to the house for an evening in front of a roaring fire. Highly recommended.

Summary: A jewel of a home, perched on a hill. While from the road this house looks small, it is comfortable and its ample spaces are welcoming and chic: the decor - art, furnishings, even the books - Make a worldly traveler feel right at home here. This is a clean, comfortable, well-kept house: The breezeway was stocked with firewood for cozy nights by the fire. Bed linens and towels in abundance. The kitchen was fully outfitted (stemware/full set of dishes, cookware, updated appliances) for hosting a small dinner party. The landscaped gardens were gorgeous even in winter - trees and shrubs thoughtfully designed for 4 season interest. The Spring/Summer/Fall guest might enjoy the outdoor terrace and fireplace behind the house. Perfect location for exploring the area: Lenox, Great Barrington, Chatham and Hudson a short drive away through gorgeous countryside.

Summary: This house was exceptionally clean and well stocked, it was more like a hotel than rental house. There were lots of clean towels, the sheets were great, the soaps and shampoo provided were exceptional. There was lots of room for our party of 6. The house is located only a few minutes from the MA boarder so it is in a great location to explore the area. The house is well decorated which for us was both a pro and con. The adults in the group appreciated it but we needed to make sure the 6 and 8 year old were careful around all the nick nacks. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend the house.
