Your vacation begins the moment you walk in the front door and take in the gorgeous, panoramic view of Lake Gaston! The airy 2 story family and kitchen area features a wall of windows and glass doors that let in the light while still leaving the home feeling comfortable and inviting.
Prefer the outside air? Step out onto the large screened in porch furnished for both dining and lounging. Enjoy a bug free nap on the hammock while still close enough to the water to share in the lake front fun.
In the kitchen you will find everything you need to create great meals or quick snacks for the dock. We pride ourselves on having an extremely well-stocked kitchen. You won't run out of silverware, glasses or lack that perfect food prep tool!
Located on the main level, the master king bedroom has en-suite bath, HD TV, lake front view and sliding doors onto a private deck. Also on the main floor is another bedroom with a queen size bed situated just next to a full bathroom.
With a large group of family or friends you'll enjoy having the option of indoor play in the heated and cooled garage game room OR in the 2nd living space located on the lower level. The game room comes complete with ping-pong, air hockey and sitting areas. The lower living area has full seating, a board game table and a large HD TV. The lower living area also has double sliding glass doors with easy access to the dock, yard or just for enjoying the evening sunsets across the water.
The lower level continues to provide lots of extra space for those family and friends! There are 3 bedrooms and one full bath on this floor. You'll find a bedroom with a king sized bed, HD TV and sliding patio doors to the beautiful lake view, another huge bedroom with a queen bed, double bed and daybed/trundle which also has patio doors to that same exceptional lake view. Also there is a 3rd bedroom with a queen/twin bunk-bed set and a twin/twin bunk-bed set.
But really, who are we kidding? You have plenty of time to explore the indoors after you run out to the dock and get your feet in the water! You will love the option of sitting either in the sun or in the shade while still being right in the middle of all the water activities! Furnished with patio loungers, a porch swing, hammock chairs and a table/chair set, you'll find the dock perfect for everyone's water front expectations. Need some exercise? Grab the kayak or the paddle board and take them for a spin. With 7 feet of water depth, a cannonball contest might be in order!
Our home comes complete with bed linens as well as bathing and kitchen towels. Our neighborhood is large, quiet and safe with numerous paved roads so bring your bikes and feel free to tour around. You will also find a neighborhood park and pavilion at the entrance of our neighborhood with a playground for the kids to enjoy.
At this time we do not provide a boat lift for rental use; however, we do have mooring whips (with instructions) for safe/secure boat or jet ski docking. These ties are easy to use and keep your vessel a safe distance from the dock even during storms and/or high wake time periods. The closest ramp is located at Morningstar Marina, just a few miles drive from the house. Our cove is the first large cove on the same side as the marina when you head west out of the marina area.

Summary: We had a wonderful week at "5 Boys on the Lake"!! The home is even nicer in person. The screen porch was our favorite room for all 11 of us to be together eating, playing games, watching the storms pass through and simply just being together!! The dock also had plenty of room for all of us to hang and and be together, whether in the water or sitting on furniture provided (the hammock swings were definitely showing their wear and tear!). Our 6 yo granddaughter loved mastering the youth-sized kayak!! Though this house faces west, the trees and the shade of the dock provide all the shade you need during the day and then lovely sunsets were enjoyed in the evening. We hope to come back again!!

Summary: My family of 15 had a great stay during July 4 week. The house was very comfortable for our large family. The kitchen is well stocked, beds were comfortable and the downstairs work out great for the teenage grandchildren. The screen-in-porch was perfect for our evening family time. Very nice dock area with the covered roof and ceiling fans. Grandkids loved the kayaks, paddle boards and the game room. We would definitely stay here again.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay and the property was as described. It had all the kitchen and other amenities we needed and we appreciated that we didn’t have to bring our own linens, hand soap, dish soap, etc. The huge screened porch was wonderful and we spent a lot of time there watching sunrises and sunsets and enjoying time as a group. We did encounter some wear (broken slider door handle, broken paddle board), and the owners responded immediately when notified of these issues. Overall, we would recommend staying here.

Summary: 2nd year in a row we've rented this property and it was perfect once again. Our group of 10 had plenty of space and the cove was nice and quiet for cruising and paddleboarding. Will definitely be coming back again next year!

Summary: We had a fantastic stay with our friends! The dock was perfect - lots of space to swim around, and easy getting access with a boat rental! The kitchen was incredibly well stocked - we typically have to bring our own kitchen appliances/nicer knives but this kitchen had everything we needed. The garage fridge took a while to chill things, but by the 2nd day it was great! The wifi was also very strong, which was a huge plus for friends who did some remote work. We will absolutely book this house again!

Summary: The house was clean and nice. The deck was a little worn and not much room for boats to be docked especially if kids want to jump off the dock. Wakes could get pretty rough with all the wake boats in the cove. Apparently, you can't use the community boat ramp so you have to launch a few miles away. Very rude resident told us we weren't allowed to use the ramp. I was under the assumption we were guests of the house owner and should be allowed to use the ramp. The book at the house didn't say one way or the other but the gate was unlocked. Overall it was nice and would recommend.

Summary: This was our first visit to Lake Gaston and we will definitely be going back! 5 Boys at the lake was perfect for our family. We were able to dock our boat right there at their dock, the kids loved fishing and swimming right there!
