Situated in the upmarket Cap Estate in the northern tip of the island, the Hummingbird Villa offers guests a truly unforgettable tropical retreat. A breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding tropical landscape, the nearby Rodney Bay and the Caribbean Sea unfolds from the villa's two large terraces. This property is positioned on the hillside and has been built to cleverly use the Atlantic breezes as it's cooling engine; the sea-facing side of the house has louvre windows and foldback louvre French doors which can be opened to the terrace and surrounding lush tropical garden, providing a unique tree house feel, described by previous guests as “something you simply have to experience in person!”
The Space
The half moon shaped villa (originally called the Banana House when it was first built and still known as such by some locals) is laid out over two floors. The villa has a gorgeous kidney shaped pool with an adjoining pool deck equipped with sun loungers and parasols.
When you enter the Hummingbird Villa on the ground floor you will find yourself in a large open living space with a spacious kitchen and an adjoining dining area which flows beautifully onto a comfortable lounge area. This entire space opens up to the main terrace through foldback louvre French doors and windows. You can dine on the terrace under the shade of a parasol or rest in a hammock while enjoying the unforgettable views and stunning sunsets. Hummingbirds can often be seen collecting nectar from the flowering trees and bushes surrounding the terrace, giving the villa it's present name.
The ground floor also has two double bedrooms. The first bedroom can be set up either as a superking or a twin and the windows open up to the lush tropical garden. The second bedroom has a queen size bed and an en-suite bathroom. This bedroom opens up directly to the pool area.
The expansive master bedroom is situated in the privacy of the top floor, with a large en-suite bathroom and foldback louvre French doors opening onto a separate terrace which, due to it's elevation, enjoys even more impressive panoramic views.

 All three bathrooms have been recently refurbished and have waterfall showers
 The lounge has a three seater sofa and two giant armchairs from which you can watch a 43 inch smart TV

 The villa has a monitored alarm system and is protected by a lockable front gate
 Mosquito nets are provided in all bedrooms

Summary: Wonderful stay in a spacious, well-maintained home. We loved our view of Rodney Bay from the deck, as well as the kitchen and bath that were stocked with just about everything we needed, and were spotless. Oh, and Velda makes a great rum punch!

Summary: This is such a beautiful, well maintained property. The view is incredible. It feels so isolated and private, but is only minutes from the amenities of Rodeney Bay. Staff was super helpful and responsive, and also allowed us our privacy during our stay.

Summary: The view was the best part of this home. I also enjoyed the well equipped kitchen. The property manager was quick to answer my questions and assisted with booking car and restaurant reservations and recommendations for shopping and spa days. The housekeeper was very kind and helpful. My only recommendations would be to have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash available and fans in the bathrooms. I would rent again.

Summary: We rented this house in March, with our 2 children of 9 and 4. Wonderfull house, well located, and quiet. As several people have already mentioned, the pictures do not show the house how it really look. The space is bright, the rooms are spacious, the terrace and its view are splendid. The little extra service: Velda was very discreet and the little dishes she prepared were delicious! Thank you :-) We highly recommend this house !

Summary: Hummingbird Villa was great! The pictures don't do it justice. Some of the best views on the island. Private and peaceful with easy access to shopping areas, grocery stores, restaurants, beaches and bars.

Summary: This house is very nicely decorated and is comfortable. The view and location are outstanding. Velda is great and creates a comfortable environment. The reason i gave only 4 stars is that the bedrooms are hot and buggy. There is no AC or screens and we were eaten alive. i think more fams ams creens would help alot!
