Positive: Great location for walking. There is free WiFi despite the booking.com listing saying no WiFi.

Negative: The house was very cold when we arrived but warmed up quickly when we turned the heating right up. The road outside was noisier than we're used to. The TV had no signal but there was a Game of Thrones box set that we binged on. Didn't bother us but may be an issue for others. No fault of the cottage owners but we were bombarded with emails from Sykes cottages. Seven in one day alone. Annoying!

Positive: Great location, lovely cottage with a river at the back of the garden which was amazing. Everything you need is there, great shower 😁 very dog friendly there’s even towels for them !!

Negative: Nothing we had a great weeks stay.

Positive: The location is great for walking into the village center. The bus stop is just up the road and the train station is a ten min walk. Great base for exploring the area. Lovely and quiet at night time and cozy. A home away from home. The parking is a bit tricky but I would suggest parking just over the road on the other side of the burn out the back lane as it is close enough and more accessible. A very enjoyable stay overall.

Positive: For the purpose of my stay the cottage was fine. The location was good and the parking was useful.

Negative: Concerns I had included: The window / window frames being buckled/loose in the main bedroom and living room. It wasn't possible to fully close or lock them. General 'visible' cleanliness was ok but a deeper clean is over due.

Summary: Good for the purposes of my work trip.

Positive: The location was ok. Had a washing machine which we needed.

Negative: No towels out so I looked and could only find scruffy ones. All appliances old. Lukewarm shower if heating is on, warmer if not. Double bed mattress soft and dips in middle. Business opposite makes a lot of noise and overlooks windows.
