Negative: Though on one level inside, there were steps and a firm rail down to the entrance from the lawn, which was a surprise and had not been mentioned in the description of the property. For me with a stick this posed a problem . More difficult was the step up from the car park onto the lawn as it was high,uneven and with no support. When that step is improved it will be great.

Summary: Highly recommended. Would come again.

Positive: Janet and Ged are lovely hosts, very helpful with suggestions of places to see and things to do. Loads of options for breakfast, which is delivered to the Sun Room part of the accommodation. Excellent accommodation with a seating area in the sun room and also outside in the garden.

Positive: The Snug is spacious and comfortable, so great value for money. Janet and Ged are great hosts and serve a truly great breakfast with loads of choice. We were delighted with it. All the sights connected with Hadrian’s Wall are easily accessed and Ged provided good advice too.

Negative: Nothing springs to mind. We really enjoyed our stay.

Positive: the peace and serenity of the place. I was feeling a bit run down with work pressure, etc. 2 nights, 3 days stay at the cottage invigorated me completely. Today, as I write this comment, I am in office and happily listing the tasks for the day. The room comes with private entrance, a private garden with wonderful view and a garden room. All perfect!

Negative: we liked everything. There wasn't anything we did not like
