Summary: We had a wonderful time at Hutiwai Hideaway. It is a lovely secluded spot amongst farmland and native bush. Just what we needed to decompress from a busy time and get away from it all. The house had everything you needed, with lovely retro furnishings and newly updated kitchen. The location is excellent for visiting the 3 sisters and Elephant rock and we were treated to a short stroll down the road to see some glow worms on the owners property by a little waterfall. We had a lovely time and would definitely go back again.

Summary: We spent a wonderful night with a brilliant sky and sounds of nature (kiwis?). We met the host in the morning when we left. His cattle behaved very politely and let us pass. We found fresh milk, butter and bread. Thank you! We would like to come again.

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay. You’re surrounded by pure country life with cows as your neighbours. We would call it rustic with all the comforts of home. The location is beautiful and the night sky full of stars. Our host was efficient and friendly. Very unique and memorable:)
