Summary: A little of luxury in Trinidad is what you’ll find here, I only had some snacks by the pool but unfortunately that was not up to par. Front desk staff were eager to help in anyway, they were very welcoming. Rooms were 5 star standard, which reflects the prices paid. I would recommend.

Summary: Hyatt Regency is generally my first option to stay. However, on this occasion there were too many inconveniences. Firstly, we made reservations for 4 persons (2 adults and 2 children). Yet still on 5 out of 8 days of our stay we were given 3 towels and had to call for additional towels to accommodate all persons in the room. Secondly, the cost to stay for 8 days isn’t the cheapest. However, during the period of my stay, a foreign diplomat visited the hotel and it appeared that my money was of no value during that period as our family was not allowed to enter the hotel for a few hours and had to find alternative things to do for a number of hours. Coupled with this, the hotel didn’t consider offering a discounted rate for that day despite this being made known to them. Another issue was the atrocious parking situation. The hotel doesn’t have what one would consider sufficient parking, with only 1 floor actually reserved for their guests. However, for some unknown reason, on 5 out of the 8 days of our stay, as much as half of the parking was cordoned off, resulting in me having to circle the parking building on numerous occasions battling for a spot when someone leaves. Finally, despite that my wife was placed on the room as an additional adult occupant, we were not allowed to place the stay on her World of Hyatt membership. I will therefore be required to sign up for my own account which will assign the rewards separately. Overall, prior stays were much better.

Summary: This is my 4th stay at the Hyatt TT and it did not disappoint. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and bright, I felt very safe there and I enjoy how vibrant and bustling the lobby is.
