Positive: The owners have done a really great job restoring this original stone cottage. It was very quiet and comfortable. Once you have your bearings it is easy to walk to the main landmarks.

Negative: Host does not speak English so you need to use Google Translate. Be sure to ask for specific directions to the property because we entered from the wrong direction and got lost in the labyrinth of the Old Town narrow pathways. As two female travellers we didn’t feel safe when we got lost. It would be helpful to have an English information booklet in the flat with everything you need to know during the stay - where to eat, what to do and some handy local knowledge.

Summary: Authentic Taranto experience right in the old town and next to the Cathedral.
