This property has been a 5 Star property under another account for years! Same owners, same management, new account--plenty of great reviews on request! Coastal Cottage in the heart of downtown Cedar Key! This historic home has graced 1st Street for 90 years. A classic Cracker home, there are two beautifully decorated bedrooms (one queen, one full) and one full bath. HGTV's Coastal Collection Paint highlights the vaulted ceiling, wainscoting and original doors. Recently uncovered heart pine floors glow with Cedar Key pride. Quality furniture, TVs, and mattresses/linens. The breezy wraparound front porch with locally made porch swing and adirondack chairs makes an ideal spot for people watching, reading, sipping tea, or just relaxing.
The Ida Belle Cottage was once home to Mrs. Ida Belle Davis, who raised her family here. Though Mrs. Ida Belle is no longer with us, her family continues to live and work in Cedar Key. When you enter the house, don't forget to look on the wall just to your left, a little tribute to the cottage's namesake is there for your enjoyment. A true Southern woman, she would want you to stay and be comfortable. Most of all, she would want you to see Cedar Key the way she did--from the little cottage on 1st Street.
This is a pet friendly unit for up to 2 dogs! Pet fee is as follows: Pet fee is $50 per pet per visit, 2 pet maximum. If you did not pay a pet fee on booking, please contact us immediately. Evidence of pets in unit without paying the pet fee as required will result in a penalty of $300 charge to your card on file. Please check with us on any other pets. We do require that pets do not get on bed or furniture. Please do not leave barking dogs in the unit. Please pick up after your pet when outdoors.

Summary: This was such a cute, little home. Perfect space for 2 or even 3. The beds were very comfortable and the home was clean. It was steps away from town. There was parking for a golf cart as well as our vehicle and there was coffee shops right behind the home as well as a pizza shop.

Summary: What a great little cottage right in the center of everything! All of the restaurants and shops are truly within walking distance. You can tell the area was hit by a hurricane last year with several places still closed however if fishing and relaxing are on your agenda then this cottage is the perfect spot. It’s an older cottage with a large front porch, we took our dogs and would have loved a tiny fenced in area however we made do and my husband and I enjoyed our time. We would definitely rent again should we be in the area!

Summary: Our second stay at the cottage was perfect. Everything is within walking distance which we loved. Sunset to the right of the street. Sunrise to the left. 2nd street cafe was our breakfast stop. Just wish there was more of a beach

Summary: We loved our visit here. Cedar Key is such a quaint place to get away and enjoy a couple days of peace and quiet. We loved being able to bring our dog with us as well. Made the stay a 10/10. Will definitely return to Cedar Key again.

Summary: We stayed two nights, the cottage was comfortable, clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Location is excellent. You can walk to restaurants, bike around or rent a golf cart.
