THE SPACE
Step inside to find a welcoming, stylish space designed for relaxation. The open-plan living area features a comfortable queen sleeper sofa, a smart TV, and a cozy fireplace perfect for cool evenings. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for your culinary needs, with an adjacent dining area. Please note, there is no dishwasher.
The cabin offers a serene bedroom with a plush king-size bed and a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. For entertainment, you'll find a selection of board games and books for a cozy night in.
Your private, elevated back deck offers beautiful views of the grand cedar trees. Unwind in the bubbling hot tub, relax with a good book, or simply enjoy the sounds of nature. In the evening, the fire pit with Adirondack chairs is the perfect spot to gather under the stars.

Our property is a short drive from incredible public lands, including Giant City State Park and the Shawnee National Forest. These areas offer fantastic opportunities for fishing, hiking, hunting, cycling, kayaking, and exploring the natural beauty of Southern Illinois.

Pet Policy: We welcome up to two dogs per stay. Pets must be reported prior to arrival. A fee of $50 per pet applies. Please note, an additional $50 fee will be charged for any unreported pets.
Other Guests: There are a total of four cabins on the 35-acre property. They are spread far apart to ensure privacy, but please be mindful that other guests may be present.
Starter Supplies: We provide a starter package of essentials to get you settled in, including 3 rolls of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels.

Summary: We had a great time, everything was as listed in our booking. There was plenty of outdoor area for our 9 month pitbull to run around and explore. Early morning we looked outside to see deers roaming the property, it was amazing. Will be returning soon for a longer stay!

Summary: I Will Be Back! And I shared this place with family and friends. We stayed in the Cedar cabin and it's the most secluded of the other cabins. Everything was perfect. The cabin was clean, wifi was easy to set up, easy to login to our favorite steaming services and the hot tub was great. The cabin is very modern and aesthetically appealing. As far as kitchen needs for cooking, it had everything one would need. I love the body wash in the shower. Also the cabin must have had a soft water filter, which was Heaven. Great spot for a quick romantic gateway. You are secluded without being far from Carbondale.

Summary: We stayed in this cozy little cabin during move-in weekend at SIU. Our son is a SIU student and we wanted to be close enough to help him move but also far enough away to enjoy some peace. This cabin provided everything we needed and more. It was a peaceful respite in the evenings after spending all day unpacking my son's new apartment. The bed was great, the little kitchen was perfect for what we needed and the hiking trail outside was a nice walk. We didn't get a chance to use the hot tub but we plan to return and use it next time around. The owner was very responsive to but we had no issues. I highly recommend!

Summary: This cabin is impeccable. Everything is extremely cozy, clean and beautiful! The location is also amazing - so many trails and nature nearby. You just feel an enormous sense of peace and calmness all around you. My husband and I came with our dog Luna to the area for the first time. We can’t wait to come back and, when we do, we’ll 100% stay here again. Communication and information was also great and super organized. Highly recommend!!!
