Lovely 2-bedroom 1-bathroom cottage on beautiful Papakeechie Lake. Master bedroom has a queen size bed with a view of the water and the second bedroom has 2 bunk beds. A lovely kitchen, living room and dining room, with plenty of views of Papakeechie Lake. There is a fire pit and a nice patio area with a great dock and beach just steps from the cottage door. Papakeechie Lake is a tranquil non-motorboat lake where kayaks, paddle boats, paddle boards and sail boats are the way of life. The fishing also is great. With plenty of crappie, largemouth bass and blue gills to be caught. You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake or if you would like to bring a motorboat and launch it at Lake Wawasee, this cottage is just minutes from the public boat launch. The cottage is just across the road from Tri-County Fish & Wildlife Area, where there are more ponds for fishing and hunting happening. It can also be a great place to sightsee and bird watch. With so much to do or not to do you can't go wrong with staying at what we like to call the Harvest Moon.

Summary: The Harvest Moon Cottage was wonderful! Lake Papakeechie is absolutely beautiful. It was so peaceful and quiet. We felt like we had the entire lake to ourselves. My 3 teenage children and I enjoyed going on the lake with the kayaks and paddleboard. My 80-year-old parents loved the fishing and 7-person paddleboard. The cottage was wonderful and well furnished. The host, Candace, was easy to communicate with. It was a great family vacation. In fact, we enjoyed it so much my parents are considering buying another cottage on the lake so that we can go back year round.

Summary: The cottage was exactly as advertised. The lake access was perfect and there were more water crafts than advertised for guests to use. We enjoyed the paddle board with our dogs! We'll be back for sure!

Summary: Had a great time with the family and Dog at the Harvest Moon cottage. Lake is quiet and peaceful. Great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Caught a lot of bluegill, a few bass, and a large dogfish off the pier. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is a great place. Very cozy and clean. Lake Wawasee is close by if you have a boat you want to take out for the day.

Summary: We were four persons. Three 30 yo women stayed in the bunkbed room and I stayed in the master bedroom. We were attending the Midwest Banjo camp at MAnchester University about 40 min drive. We used the grill and the paddleboards quite a bit. The golden retriever had the best time of all! It was very quiet and nice and clean.I would stay there again for sure.

Summary: Harvest Moon is the perfect cottage for an unplugged weekend with your spouse. It is small, and on a non-motor lake- so if you’re looking for luxury on a party lake- this isn’t it. We enjoyed having coffee and watching fish jump and turtles swim by- it’s so quiet you can hear all types of birds, too. And there’s plenty to do in the area- great restaurants and breweries. If you’re up for fishing off the pier, kayaking and time spent around a campfire, you’ll love Harvest Moon.
