Positive: Kitchen was adequate with decent crockery, cutlery etc and a dishwasher and washer/dryer. Lounge the best part of the house.
Negative: Maybe this is a work in progress. Arrived on a hot sunny day, would have been nice to sit outside in the fresh air but there is no outside furniture and the garden is a mess. Could be made so much more of. Sat in the kitchen with the door open and soon found we were inundated with flies and the stench from the rubbish bins. We moved them to the side of the house but still could smell them and couldn’t get rid of the flies. The house feels very dark and dreary, as the wood is very brown apart from the badly painted white bits. Which made it seem both dark and scruffy. The extractor above the cooker was very dirty, covered in grease and bits of old food I guess. The extractor in the bathroom also very dirty. The pest control services trap in the kitchen didn’t help me feel comfortable. Mice or something smaller? The bedding not good, looked scruffy as very creased with a bottom sheet that was so thin it was way past it.
Summary: Maybe better than sleeping in the car?

Positive: Location was very good Amenities at the property were catered for and there were some nice homely touches
Negative: We found the cleaners had not emptied bins or the dishwasher- I let the owner know and he was very apologetic and offered to make amends. I told them it was ok just wanted to make them aware.
Summary: A nice little home to rest, great location and a quiet neighborhood

Positive: The host made an amazing effort to ensure the house was ready and comfortable for us. He wrapped each towel individually, which was such a sweet gesture. Fresh flowers were placed in a vase in the kitchen for us. The highlight was freshly squeezed juice placed in the fridge for us. The house was neat and tidy and well managed.
Negative: The location - the houses next door on either side were not too clean. One had a huge dog, which scared my kids. The other side had a huge pile of washing machines out the front of their yard (maybe they repair them?).
