Positive: The host was super helpful and welcoming. He provided a lot of nice extra amenities like snacks for breakfast, and local restaurant recommendations. The place itself was wonderful - clean and well stocked.
Negative: The only issue we had is that I wish he had a sign in the place printed with instructions that, if you park on premise, you need to make sure the gate doesn't close behind you because there is no way to open it from the inside. He told us verbally, but by the next morning, we had forgotten. We had to climb the fence, reach over it and use a stick to push the code on the keypad. :)

From all our interactions, it was clear that he was genuinely dedicated to providing his guests with the best possible experience. His warmth and attentiveness are second to none; frankly, he is one of the friendliest hosts I ever had. The apartment itself is a wonderful blend of classic Italian charm and modern convenience. It truly feels like stepping into an authentic, nostalgic Italian home with Granny’s praised chrystals and wooden furniture. All that with all the updated amenities you need for a comfortable stay. It was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped. For families, this place is a dream come true. It is incredibly child-friendly, providing a safe and welcoming environment for little ones (and nice toys, too!). The location is another major plus. Nestled in a quiet area of Ostia, it offers a peaceful retreat while still being incredibly convenient. With good traffic, you can reach downtown Rome, the beautiful beaches of Ostia, and the Fiumicino airport, all within about 30 minutes. Casa Affitto Macchia Saponara exceeded all our expectations. Without a doubt, this is the place we want to stay the next time we are anywhere near Rome. Highly, highly recommended!

Negative: The only challenge we had was that the shower was a bit of a challenge for my 83 year old father, but he loved the stay regardless!

Positive: Host Giocomo was fabulous. He insisted on providing us a ride from the airport at a reduced fare. He personally provided a tour of his apartment and provided us with information of the neighborhood for restaurants and stores. He also was very accommodating getting us a taxi back to the airport. The elevator was really appreciated and the breakfast provide was nice. We didn't use it but the washer is a nice option. The location was ideal and chosen for our early morning flight out and the airport was only 20 minutes away.
Negative: The mattress could be updated.
Summary: This host goes the extra mile for his guests and provides a nice, clean apartment for his guests.
