What Our Guests say 500 + Reviews

Summary: Debbie and Gwen from hospitality were brilliant in courtesy and care of our room during our stay. The front desk staff were all informed, efficient and kind. The atrium staff handling the breakfast was so kind and on the spot for keeping tables clean and prepared for all the hotel guests. So, overall, the people at this hotel really make the experience a step above the others we stayed at in the area of Old City. Some of the building features are old, being a historic hotel, but no seeming fan presence in the room bathroom was easy to overlook with everything else being seemless.

Summary: I had a few issues with the front desk- you advertise cookies, and he did open a tin, and put them out, but at the cost, they definitely could have been better. Also the people working there, couldn’t answer any questions. They should be better versed in the area.

Summary: 1.Room sizes are very small ( 7 x 10ft). The space was less than any standard den size room. Barely fit the queen bed. It’s look like a confined space. 2. Hotel doesn’t have own car parking space and the nearest public car parking is 5 minutes away ( walk) from hotel. 3. The Breakfast served in old cheap reusables plastic plates ( with visible scratches ) in a tiny lobby area.

Summary: This is a well maintained historic hotel in the heart of Old City, directly across the street from the Museum of the American Revolution and steps away from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Lots of great restaurants are within walking distance too. However centrally located, our room was quiet-no noise from the street below. The hallways are narrow, as is typical of older hotels, but the room felt surprisingly spacious and some great period details made the decor memorable. Breakfast is served in the atrium downstairs. Standard fair but plenty of it and a friendly wait staff. Cookies served in the lobby every afternoon, along with the coffee and tea that are always available, provided a nice homey touch! We would definitely stay here again.
