Summary: Room was very clean and quiet. Jetted tub was perfect after a day of site seeing!

Summary: I thought I'd chosen a room with a private bathroom but apparently I screwed that up. It was fine as we were there for just one night but I'm glad we didn't need to use the RV-sized shower. I also didn't realize there was no elevator. I have bad knees so lugging our stuff up three flights was not ideal. Fortunately, another guest offered to bring my suitcase down for me in the morning as it was evident I was struggling. Parking is also not ideal but if you are there on a weekend, free street parking is an option as their very small lot fills up quickly. Overall, the place is nice. I just wasn't expecting the parking situation, shared bathroom, and no elevator after a very long day of traveling.

Summary: Had an overall great stay at the Inn at St. John in Portland. They are dog friendly, which was great for us. We had a room with a private bathroom in the hall, which worked out just fine. The free continental breakfast was great! Lots of to go snacks and good offering of bagels, muffins, danish, donuts, yogurt. The staff working there, front desk and housekeeping, were so friendly, nice, and helpful. The room is on the small side with no fridge (we had some leftovers we had to toss). However, the bed was comfortable, and the A/C worked very well. Location was a 30-40 min walk or so to the old port part of town, which we did not mind since we had our dog with us. Close to a grocery store for snacks or drinks.

Summary: Always a reliable, convenient good stay in Portland. Small rooms and beds, limited plug connections, separate bathrooms, no elevators, are minuses. But price, service, upkeep, breakfast, lobby area, parking, and location are pluses.

Summary: Lovely old Victorian building with lots of stairs. The room was sizeable and well appointed. Management was friendly and helpful when my plans changed abruptly. I will stay here again next time my travels take me to Portland.

Summary: This is an older place in what has become a more seedy part of Portland. However the day was nice. I was by myself so the smaller room was perfect, didn't need more. They had lots of staff that were friendly. Good location to get to many parts of Portland.

Summary: Really nice inn in the heart of Portland. Everyone was so nice. Breakfast was just what we needed. Food sized room that was well taken care of and clean.

Summary: What a great find! We had a wonderful stay on our mother/daughter road trip, stopped in Portland for 2 nights. The front desk staff was so welcoming/friendly. Our room was perfect, very clean and comfortable. We stayed in a king room with private bathroom, so spacious!
