Positive: The onsen bathing facilities were nicely designed.

Negative: The interior layout was a bit confusing, we never mastered the maze of hallways.

Positive: Ryokan with typical Japanese rooms. Several onsens available - public and private. That was nice. Location is in the middle of the forest. You have breakfast and dinner options available.

Negative: We kind of knew what we booked, so can't complain too much. Wanted to try a tradition Ryokan with an onsen in it. Not many options in the area available. In our opinion the hotel is just too expensive for what it is. And for us (as we are probably not used to it) the water in the onsen was too hot, so we couldn't really enjoy it.

Positive: Everything from the staff to the food Facilities pool Welcome drinks relaxing main lounge views surrounded by bush Our driver The walk The amazing private bath Most special was one staff giving his time to chat to us and share experiences made our stay!!

Negative: Nothing really would have liked a lounge in our room to sit and look out window but made our own from single mattress and pillows

Positive: Old fashioned hotel. Privet onsens. Transfer from the station and to the Magome. Welcome drinks) Nice garden. Comfy footons, found of the waterfall.

Negative: Very very hot water at the privet outdoor onsen. Food served for dinner was not so good.

Positive: Everything was nice. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Location fantastic with shuttlebus available. The private onsen after the walk was amazing. Table tennis, pool excellent food and sake!
