Positive: They did an awesome job restoring the place and it felt very special living in a traditional Japanese house. There were many “antiques” which is nice for display but slightly clutters up the place for staying overnight. Staff were responsive and kind.
Negative: Be aware the property gets very cold in winter. With heaters in each room and kotatsu in the “living room”, it feels fine in those rooms once it warms up but you really feel the cold going to the toilet or using the shower at night.
Summary: Traditional Japanese house
