A vacation experience unlike any other awaits within the soaring walls of the magnificent resort-sized, ocean-front house. Built to accommodate up to 12 guests, Jekyll House is a private retreat to relax and unwind.
The grandeur of Jekyll House reveals itself the moment you step in and spy the glittering waters of your own private pool through the large floor to ceiling windows of the open living room. The pool has four waterfall features, and a huge deck with plush patio furniture. A gas grill and dining table for eight means your family never has to leave your own ocean-front private resort.
The living room is outfitted with two plush sofas, large television and family games. The central dining area features a dining table with built in leaf that can be expanded to seat 10 dinner guests. The open concept living and dining space downstairs is flanked on each side by three private bedrooms and two full baths. All bedrooms have televisions and plenty of storage options.
There’s even more space for entertaining upstairs. Atop the stairs, guests are greeted with jaw-dropping views of the Atlantic Ocean from a second living room. A huge balcony upstairs runs the length of the house and provides the best views of the Atlantic Ocean on Jekyll Island. The upstairs balcony has 4 rocking chairs, a conversation seating area with a sofa and two chairs, and a dining table for six. From the balcony, a spiral staircase leads to a widow’s walk roof top deck with 360-degree views of the Atlantic Ocean, Jekyll Island and St. Simons in the distance. Sunrises from the rooftop balcony are the best on the island.
The upstairs features a huge living room with sofa, plush chairs and a desk, and large bath with luxurious shower and air jetted bathtub. A bunkroom has two sets of bunks with full bottoms and twin tops. A second bedroom upstairs with a king bed overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and provides gorgeous sunrises.
The home is equipped with full laundry room (washer, dryer, wash sink), fully equipped kitchen including microwave, dishwasher, and Sub-Zero Refrigerator, and full house water filtration system. The house has two outdoor showers. The circle driveway has plenty of parking for up to four vehicles.
With plenty of space to come together and entertain, and quiet nooks to simply breathe in the salt air and unwind, this truly stunning ocean front property gives you your very own luxury resort experience.
Fireplaces are decorative and not for guest use. The pool may be heated for an additional charge. Please inquire at time of booking.

Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The outside of this house NEEDS ATTENTION! Too many wasps ... they were everywhere and all week! Even when the guy came out to take care of the problem, it didn't take care of the problem. The pool needs to be cleaned thoroughly .. the sides, bottom, area around the pool. Great time with family, but that's what made this vacation wonderful, not the house. Wish we could have enjoyed the pool, but too many problems and the water fall didn't work the whole time.... calling about these things didn't matter, because they just put it on the pool maintenance people ... no solution!

Summary: The location and pool access can’t be beat! We were however not terribly impressed with the lack of basic amenities in the house eg. one kitchen towel, no hot pads, one roll of toilet paper. Seems a bit more investment in the basics would go a long way for guest comfort.There is also a wasp problem in the pool area. We found a can of wasp spray and purchased more while there. Seems this is a known problem that should be addressed by the realty company.

Beach is also amazing and super close walk. We have been fortunate to stay in many awesome beach houses and this has been our favorite! The island is a great location if you want peace and quiet

Two outdoor showers meant everyone could clean up. The pool was wonderful . The air conditioner needed serviced but they were there in a timely manor.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrive at Jekyll house and we loved the set up of the house. But, immediately noticed the air condition wasn’t working. I called the rental company and they were able to fix it that day. We also had several more problems with the rental. When we tried to cook dinners at night the stove top would not stay up to temperature when several burners were used. This ruined our dinners for for timing and taste. There was also a day it stormed and the right sided back door leaks. There was a huge puddle on the floor. The refrigerator seemed to keep the food cold, but the ice in the freezer was always melting. And, finally there is a crack (somewhere under the sink?)that bugs keep getting in the downstairs bathroom near the laundry. Every day you had to take care of spiders, lizards, etc that got in. The rugs also need to be washed in the bathrooms along with the shower curtains. Other than those things the house was in a great location, the beach was quiet and clean. And the floor plan of the house was nice
