Positive: Rick & Mook just are wonderful, down-to-earth people. Good relaxing vibe. They do great work for stray-dogs. Taking care of them. The food is just smashing. Mook's massaman is superb. The beach is about 1 km away.

Positive: There was nothing not to like. Rick (DJ and music producer) and Mook (boss and chef) were just the best hosts....you were looked after like you were family.... Mook cooked the most delicious food (best masaman I've ever had) Such a great place to just chill after venturing out
Negative: Didn't like that we only booked 3 nights..could have stayed a lot longer.

Positive: The host were so kind they helped me get anywhere i needed, I definitely gained some friends staying there. The rooms were beautiful and clean and very spacious, i would love to come back here. Plus it was very peaceful

Positive: Beautiful teak bungalows, cosy and very comfortable. Good a/c, lovely bed, spacious bathroom and your own veranda. Hosts were always on hand, generous with their time and attention and couldn't have been more helpful. The food was lovely and all cooked to personal order.
Negative: I would recommend your own transport as it's a little off the beaten track. If you are at all nervous about dogs this might not be a good choice for you. They are all friendly though.

Positive: Near the ocean, at the foot of a mountain, surrounded by jungle and a coconut plantation, the two hosts Mook and Rick have set up a resort and dog shelter which ticked all the boxes for me. The place is lush and tranquil, and the dogs are well cared for and living their best lives. My bungalow was spacious and spotless with a modern A/C and a refrigerator with cold water. The food is as authentic as can be, cooked up by Thai native Mook, while you chat and enjoy a cold drink at the bar. I cannot overstate how great these dishes were. Fresh, varied and unbelievably tasty. The hosts themselves made every effort to engage and make my stay comfortable. They're friendly and funny, with strange and interesting stories to tell. Rick caught me driving off with a flat tire. Not only did he change the tire to a spare but arranged for the flat one to be fixed at the local mechanic the same day. Thanks buddy. If you are a dog person, this is where you go. If you are not, I'd recommend alternatives. I stayed 3 nights as a solo traveler, looking for a peaceful place to read my books. I found what I was looking for and much more.
