Positive: A proper homestay! The owners are really friendly and helpful. We arrived at lunch time, and they cooked us a delicious homemade meal for a fair price. The place is conveniently located near Gubei Water Town and the Simatai and Jinshalin entries of the great wall. The owners can drive you there for an acceptable fee.
Negative: The beds in the room were a bit on the hard side and the facilities, including the bathroom, are basic. But all in all, they match with the price range of the venue.

Positive: A great stay! The couple that runs this is very nice and will help you with transportation throughout Gubei for a fair cost. They also will cook you home cooked meals for a fee.
Negative: My original plan was to walk to Gubei Watertown from the hotel, but it didn’t seem that walkable so I just got the transportation they provided and was happy with my decision.

Positive: Condition of the Room: The room was clean and had a window. However, the beds were very hard due to the thin mattress. Service of the Staff: The staff was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. They always asked at what time we would like breakfast or dinner and were very attentive to make our stay pleasant. Food: The food was very delicious and we enjoyed it.
Negative: Location of the Accommodation: Unfortunately, the accommodation was incorrectly marked on the map, which initially caused confusion. It is located a bit further outside than indicated on the map. Value for Money: The value for money was not optimal. It was unfortunate that we had to pay extra for trips to the water town (location on the map), and we only found out after checking out. The taxi to Jinshanling cost us 200 Yuan, which we were only told about in the car. The prices for the food were only given to us upon request.

Positive: Mr Zhang ferried us around to the tourist spots so made our life a lot easier. Mrs Zhang cooked delicious meals, breakfast and dinner. They are very friendly and approachable and gave us a lot of tips around the area.

Positive: we couldn't have dreamed of anything better for our stay near the wall. We were able to watch the sunset thanks to the hotel's service at a really reasonable price and leave with them by car very early in the morning to take the train to Gubeikou. they made us a delicious meal in the evening and welcomed us more than warmly and answer all questions very quickly via booking! If you want to make the most of the Jinshanling section this is by far the best option, go for it!

Positive: Chinese hospitality at its best! The owners of this place are amazing. Breakfast was delicious. I originally planned on taking the bus to Gubei Water Town, but the owner insisted on driving me and picking me up. Definitely recommend staying here.
