On arrival, the property’s farm style entry gate open onto a meandering drive which leads you up to a very private and impressive home, set amidst acres of rural countryside. While being peaceful and tucked away from it all, it’s only a few minutes’ drive to award winning restaurants, boutique wineries, artisans and beaches.
The Space
Guests entering the home will find themselves in an elegant foyer with stunning Blackbutt flooring which flows throughout the living areas of the home adding a warmth and elegance. The house itself is exceptionally spacious, so every member of the group will be able to enjoy their own privacy.
To the right of the entry a long passageway leads to 4 bedrooms, all thoughtfully designed with privacy in mind and each with their own ensuite and views of the landscape.
Via the main entry and passageway, you will enter an expansive and impressive open-plan living area with 10-seater dining area that opens to a large entertaining courtyard with BBQ and alfresco dining facilities. Perfect place for a late afternoon get-together over a glass of wine sourced from the region and a lazy BBQ dinner.
The dining area is furnished with a long solid wood table and comfortable chairs. Adjacent to this area is a lounge/media area with comfortable leather seating which is the place to hunker down and watch TV or sit around and have a long overdue chat.
The kitchen has to be seen to be believed - it’s a gourmet’s dream with everything you could possibly need, including heaps of bench space.
There is also another living area where you can sit back, relax on the sofas and take in the stunning views while you plan your next day’s activities.
Located near world-class wineries and galleries, there is plenty to do and keep you active during your stay in the south west.

Summary: Love this place with the ensuites for all 5 bedrooms and a spare toilet to boot! Clean, spacious, well appointed. Beautiful outlook. The only minor drawback is the fridge is a tad small for larger groups. Eskies saved the day for us :-) Hosts are exceptional with communication and the online document that is provided is fantastic (would be even better if it had instructions to drive the gas fireplace) Looking forward to staying there again!!

Summary: The house was spacious and perfect for a group as every bedroom has its own bathroom. Big kitchen which was great for cooking. Location excellent for local vineyards and short drive to local towns and beaches. We loved the rural setting. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: Fridge was not adequate for a 10 person property. Spiders found in beds was a big surprise. Having an en-suite for every room was great.

Summary: This is an absolute gem of a house located in Wilyabrup. The house itself is expansive and spacious with many spaces to rest and relax in. Bedrooms are comfortable with the bonus of five ensuite bathrooms. The sweeping paddocks and pastures are absolutely breathtaking. In fact many a morning as spent watching the sheep graze. There are also so many wineries, restaurants and attractions just on Metricup House's doorstep so you never really have to venture far. We will definitely be back very soon. Thanks Brenda and Paul for your hospitality.
