Positive: We loved the bush location near the water. The separate bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and outdoor firepit pavilions accessed by wooden walkways made this a different holiday experience, even in the inclement weather.

Positive: This is a wonderfully relaxing place to stay on Bruny Island, for one or 2 people. Kaoru is a small and cosy accommodation option, with 3 small separate pods on a deck facing the channel. Facilities are clean and all amenities are provided for self catering. Atsuko is a friendly and generous host.

Negative: Nothing! Although the thoughtful bathrobes were on the small side for bigger bodies...

Positive: Stunning location right on the channel so sunsets magnificent. Interesting arrangement of separate living areas. Glad it was not freezing as was best to be able to spend time outside. So many little nooks and crannies to sit and relax. Eco facilities which worked well. Hosts super accommodating with extras we needed and gave us introductions on how to use the spaces. Surrounded by Nature at its best!

Negative: A distance to cart things to room from car.

Positive: Beautiful location right on the beach. Well appointed accomm and the hosts met us and very friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere and secluded.

Negative: A heater needed in Bathroom. No exhaust fan in kitchen for cooking smells. The major concern is the step that is down to the deck between bed & kitchen is not marked. I fell down it while looking at the sunset. Definitely needs a yellow strip or bunnings type black and red fixed hazard strip.

Summary: We enjoyed the privacy of the location, the relaxed vibe of the place. Unique accomm.
