Summary: Absolutely magical with an outstanding restaurant (Elaia) and staff. The beauty of the architecture and property have to be experienced first hand. Highly recommend the wine tasting & cooking experiences offered.

Summary: Simply the most beautiful place, tucked away in the hills overlooking Rethymno. Ecofriendly and exquisitely refashioned from an old village. In-house restaurant was likewise awesome with a great selection of Cretan wines.

Summary: This is a special place in a beautiful setting. While we used it as a base to explore the area, we made also made sure to relax in our beautiful courtyard and on premises. Our highlight was a cooking course with the two chefs, who were delightful and taught us a lot about Cretan cooking. The restaurant consistently produced high quality offerings for breakfast and dinner. We loved our stay here!

Summary: There needs to be a rating above excellent as this resort was world class. From the food, rooms to the hospitality everything was top rate. The resort is beautiful and relaxing. I love being surrounded by nature in a beautiful setting. The daily breakfast spread was one of the best I ever had. Already planning my next trip back!

Summary: A very charming small hotel. The hotel was an old olive oil producing village that fell into ruin. Each of the rooms has been renovated from small workers cottages to a charming standard. It is such a lovely, quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle. The pool is idyllic, the only criticism would be that I think it should be adults only. The ambience was somewhat spoilt when there was a couple with a baby who was crying by the pool and had the parents speak baby talk which ruined the quiet setting, the hotel is much better suited as an adults only due to its quiet nature. Food was excellent, breakfast choice is vast and evening meals were always excellent albeit on the pricier side, but we ate there every night. The hotel is a bit isolated away from the main tourist areas but that suited us down to the ground to be somewhere quiet. We would return.
