Karalee farmstay getaway with friendly animals | Cabin in Knapp Creek

Summary:
Karalee Farm is a 20 acre property. Your hosts are Mary & Les who are super lovely and will welcome you warmly to their beautiful farmstay. The farm is home to many animals such as miniature cattle, miniature goats, sheep, multiple breeds of adult and baby chickens and our family dogs.
A cooked breakfast is included in your stay and consists of pancakes, yoghurt & fruit juices. If you stay 2+ nights, you will get ham & cheese croissants plus yoghurt & fruit juices for breakfast on the 2nd day.
The Space:
Our guest accommodation is separate from the main house, however only a few meters between them. The dwelling has a large pergola out the front which allows guests to overlook the property and watch the farm animals in shade and comfort. It has two large bedrooms, each housing 4 single beds, has a bathroom and separate toilet as well as a sitting area that is equipped with a small fridge and appliances for the comfort of our guests. For groups more than 8 guests, the couch in the dining room can be made into a fold out bed and they would move the small table and chairs in that room outside under the pergola to make some more room. When the fold out bed is made, it does block the doorway a bit so you can always fold it away and then remake the bed when needed. Guests are also able to access the outdoor kitchen that contains a stove, a weber BBQ and wood fire pizza oven if they wish to prepare their own meals.
We are happy to interact with our guests as much as they wish, however guests have to understand that at certain times of the day, farm duties must be carried out and there may be times when we cannot always socialise, unless they would like to help us with the tasks at hand.
Our property is also home to local wildlife such as kangaroos, possums, birds and many more depending on the seasons. The farm is nestled between rocky escarpments and rolling hills with the local creek running through the boundary of the property.
Guest Access:
Our property is situated 7.5km down a gravel road. There is ample grass parking space for guests with a concrete footpath leading to the accommodation.
The Neighborhood:
Knapp Creek is a 30min drive from Beaudesert which is our largest local town centre that is equipped with Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and multiple variety stores. We are also a stones throw away from Kooralbyn Valley which is home to a large golf course and a few local stores such as doctors, chemist, hairdressers, service station and convenience store.
Getting Around:
Our guests will need to drive themselves to our farm, allowing them to go for scenic drives of our region at their own leisure. Local attraction flyers can be found at the Beaudesert Information Centre on their way to our farm. Unfortunately there is no public transport available in our area.
Other Things to Note:
Our property is the place to come if you are wanting to escape the rat race, to sit and absorb what the country has to offer. You are welcome to participate in our daily farm activities/duties or you can simply just enjoy your surrounds. Weather permitting, our property offers great star gazing and the ability to sit around the camp fire and enjoy the night air. To have a camp fire, you will need to BYO firewood. If guests would really like to sit back and be pampered, we are able to provide a variety of home cooked meals for any dietary needs (for an extra cost). However, if you would like to be self sufficient at meal time there is the outdoor kitchen or you can go for a short drive to our local pubs for lunch or dinner.
