200 feet of frontage on Mitchell Lake. Lovely one bedroom plus pull out comfy couch. Also one bedroom with double bed in boathouse loft. Loft has a wonderful deck overlooking Michell Lake. Screen porch offers protection from elements and insects. This renovated original cottage has access to the Trent Severn Waterway.

Gas station and small variety store within walking distance.
Dock is a honey hole for fishing and Michel Lake is one of the best Muskie lakes in the Kawarthas

Summary: Had a great, peaceful stay here with my family! Cottage is very clean and well equipped.The AC was a huge relief in 30+ degree heat. It's also pet-friendly, big open lawn space, my dog loved it! The enclosed mesh deck is a welcome blessing on rainy days and evenings when you don't want to be eaten alive by mosquitoes! Nice quiet lake with great sunset views, shallow enough to swim but a little bit rocky (swim shoes recommended especially for kids). The boat house loft is the CUTEST with nice balconies to chill and enjoy the breeze!

Summary: Everything you could want in a getaway to cottage country. Charming small cottage, very private with beautiful lakefront and an awesome fire pit. Hosts were thoughtful and great communicators and the property was exactly as advertised. Hoping to stay again!

Summary: Everything was great and the cottage and lake were very nice and private. The bbq could use replacing but it gets the job done if you have tinfoil or something to place on the grill. We enjoyed our stay.

Summary: Stayed for three nights with teens/young adults. The separate bunkie was appreciated by the young adults in our group. The screened porch was perfect for meals, playing games/cards. The small fridge in the porch meant we could access snacks and drinks during the day without needing to go into the cottage. The fire pit (and the wood supplied) was large enough for all of us to sit around and enjoy the beautiful sunsets and gorgeous night sky with all the stars you could possibly imagine! Fishing, canoeing, swimming and our own sups, we were entertained on the lake everyday. No life jackets supplied, so bring your own. The only drawback - it is a little tight for 6 people to sleep unless part of your group includes children. Main bedroom is a double and pull out in the living room is a love seat. We had a great time and didn't need for a thing! Highly recommend!!!

Summary: My family and I had a great time here! We had everything that we needed for a few days gateway from the city. Kids stayed in the boat house(loved the freedom 😃) and our dog had a lot of space to run around.This cottage is located in a very quiet neighborhood,so if you need a time to clear your mind,listen to birds singing and look at the lake,this is a perfect spot for you. Also,the porch with the net and lights is an amazing idea. We had a one rainy day and still could enjoy the lake view while eating and playing board games. Big plus for me personally was the second red fridge on the porch beautiful and very handy while barbecuing. Kids could easily grab a drink and go back to swimming. If you enjoy hiking,the Balsam Lake Provincial Park is 15 min drive away. Overall,great stay.

Summary: Nice quiet spot for a family long weekend away. Brought up our kayaks to explore around the lake. Easy to launch from dock or shallow water from shore. Lots of wildlife to see including deer, loons and swans and great fishing. Our teens enjoyed their own space in the bunky.
