Positive: Many years ago we stayed here several times. Under new ownership now. Loved the updated bar with a very knowledgeable bar tender, Will. We also had dinner. The brick oven pizza was delicious. Service was great. Our room was small but we love the history with the original timbers from 1822. Love the location which is out of the way but still close to town. It even snowed on queue. Great memories new and old.
Negative: We would have liked soap for the shower. The tiny soap left was not sufficient for 2 people.
Summary: Memorable with a great location and small inn feel.

Positive: Interesting building. Very attractive. Our room and the bathroom was quite large. Immaculately clean. Nice that they leave coffee in the main building for early morning risers.
Negative: Sound travels between the rooms very clearly. Limited nearby food options once the country store closes.

Positive: A lot of room in our deluxe king rental, which included a great bathtub. Can fit two people.
Negative: It isn't made clear that the room we booked was not in the main historic house, but in a renovated lodge in the back. It felt like staying in a modern apartment albeit with a huge bathroom. They don't tell you this until a day before booking. I emailed them about it, and they never responded. No included breakfast or even snacks. Coffee was bad and not included in the room. You had to go to a common area. No microwave anywhere if you want to heat up your own food or water for tea. Shower did not get hot, despite tub getting hot, for some reason. There was loud construction going on throughout our stay. Also, the rooms included fireplaces, but there are signs that you can't use the fireplaces.
Summary: Room wasn't in a historic house as expected, but in a renovated lodge in back.

Positive: It was convenient to GMHA grounds for a horse we were attending. The room was nicely decorated.
Negative: The tavern service was sub par. The pizza that we ordered was overpriced and not well executed.
