Negative: The room was absolutely disgusting! Stains on the carpet, sheets, bathroom floor nasty. Such a beautiful place ruined by the filthy room. Ashamed to say that this is a Kentucky State Resort!

Positive: The Lodge room was clean and conveniently located near the office, ice machine, pool and restaurant. The help was friendly and there was no waiting for the office, maintenance or restaurant help. The beach was picked up and not too far from most rooms and cabins.
Negative: There were wasps on the front and back porch. Thankfully they brought us a can of spray. I guess I didnt read the fine print when I booked, as there is no fridge or microwave in the lodge rooms. Restaurant is closed on Sunday and most places nearby to eat/drink are all closed on Sun/Mon. Make sure you come prepared with a big cooler.
Summary: Overall very nice but limited services.

Positive: The lake view and location was beautiful and peaceful.
Negative: The grounds and rooms were not kept up or maintained. The grounds needed to be cleaned up a bit. It’s lakeside, so it should be rustic, but there was debris all over the grounds as well as the porches and balcony. Lots of cobwebs too. Inside, the smell knocked you out as soon as you walked into the room and there were both live and dead bugs in the room.
Summary: It’s a lovely resort, just needs a good cleaning and maintenance performed. I’d stay again if it was cleaned up more.
