Positive: Beautiful hotel high up on the mountain with the best views. Rooms were beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable with a jacuzzi bath as well as shower. We had a family room which was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 children. A beautiful balcony overlooking the countryside. The hotel provides towels for the pool as well as the room. Plenty of sun beds available around the pool areas. Lunch was delicious and good value for money. The hotel also provides a shuttle to the old town at certain times which saved having to drive and park for dinner. Friendly and welcoming staff. Would definitely recommend a visit.
Negative: The only negative was the breakfast which was a disappointment. There was a good selection of hot and cold food but the “hot” food such as eggs, bacon etc was never hot and barely warm. This meant by the time you had got back to your table the food was cold. The staff also hadn’t quite mastered the basics of replenishing food when it had run out. We had to ask every day for more bread, waffles etc as it was just left empty.
Summary: Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views. We’ll definitely be back!

Positive: The hotel was beautiful with amazing views! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the food at the resort restaurant was great!
Negative: The only downside was the location - we didn't realize how far up the mountain this resort was (basically at the top - makes sense with the view!) and that the center of Gjirokaster is more of a vertical town, despite looking at a map before booking. So it is a 30-minute walk down winding streets to the main town/restaurants/shopping. The plus was that there was a shuttle in the evening to/from the resort, which was very helpful. If you are looking to be closer to the action, I would stay somewhere closer to the center of town.
Summary: If you are looking for a quiet mountain getaway, this is the resort for you!

Positive: The location of the hotel is sensational - it's a real pleasure to sleep above Gjirokaster and have a full view of the beautiful town. The hotel is slightly under construction but this didn't interrupt our stay at all. The room was luxurious and the pool was incredible. I would recommend staying here.
Negative: It's a steep, narrow and windy road if you're driving up there but absolutely fine if you take your time and part of the adventure. Walking back up to the hotel from the old town takes a lot longer than Google maps will have you believe and is very steep!
