Positive: I loved everything here. The quiet peacefulness, the staff, the beautiful resort with pool, my spacious bungalow and open air bathroom. The snorkeling trip with Uno, where we saw a Seahorse and two turtles. The sunset seats, the fresh and tasty food. Playing darts with Arez. There are no cars or real roads on the island. Thus you walk or take a boat. Get here from Lombok mainland from Tembowong port (boat 100k). From the main Gili Gede port you can take a ferry on to Bali and Nusa Penida.
Negative: Nothing I didn't know before. Bring mosquito repellent. It's jungly, there are bugs and more of course. Depending on currents there is trash on the beaches coming from Lombok. I volunteered to join the cleanup at the resort twice and another during the snorkeling which is much appreciated. Gede also does a weekly cleanup in the central village where you can volunteer.

Positive: We stayed for a week and honestly, it was amazing. If you’re looking for a place to relax, watch beautiful sunsets, connect with marine nature, and enjoy a spacious beachfront villa ¡ this is the place for you! The Wi-Fi is good. They provide a small kayak to explore the nearby islands. The beach is full of incredible seashells. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are corals right in front of the hotel (bring your own snorkel gear). If we ever come back to Gede, we would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Negative: There’s no air conditioning, and some nights it did get a bit hot.

Positive: Beautifully peaceful and amazing sunsets. Our hosts Lia, Michael and team ( Aris & Risky ) could not have been more accommodating. Great for snorkeling (loaned free of charge)direct from their beach or they will arrange a boat to the neighbouring gilis using locals at a fraction of the cost offered at Lombok Harbour. Contact Khabita to arrange a driver to collect you from the airport or hotel and a boat to take you directly to the resort. Airport taxis are 3-4 times the going rate and we were ripped off at the harbour, being charged 200K instead of 50K for 2 tickets. We loved it so much that we extended our stay and were still reluctant to leave. Thanks to you all at Khabita.
Negative: It is so sad to see plastic polluting these beautiful waters and coral reefs but Khabata do their best to clear the beach. Don't let that put you off .
